Working on replacing mine now. So far at the last step of putting the new alternator in and aligning the bolts.. cant get them to align correctly, any advice?
Hi love the video i wanted to ask what brand was the old alternator and what is the reason for the change because in the uk I wasn’t able to find except a brand called as-pl and it’s on order rn but I’m worried that it might break right away
Hey, the old alternator ( it was a remanufaxtured unit) was a brand called pure energy. I was getting an error on ISTA on that alternator, so I replaced it with a brand new Valeo unit.
Where is this located? Had battery sign come up, changed battery but lost charge within 2-3 drives. Think it's my alternator but want to spend a few tries diagnosing before throwing more money at the alternator
I skipped a lot just making sure I was doing it right so maybe I missed it but looks like you were replacing a newer one.. ? Mine is still working but I have the car tore down so wanted to change it while its easy.. Now I'm worried about putting a new one in and it going bad..lol
Thanks man i panicked when i removved the two bolts and shaking it didnt do much. No crow bar so i played around jamming a metal pry tool in tight spaces and lifting the pry tool
great video, simple easy instructions

how did you solve this? I can't get it in place either.
Do u think you thats the only way to get it out the alternator? You cant do it from the bottom with taking out the fan out?
Hi there - you said the new alternator you put in was defective - where did you get it from ? Was it a brand new alternator that ended up being bad ?
Hey, it was a rebuilt one from rockauto. Switched it with a new Valeo one

Nice video 👍 have you tried first to replace the voltage regulator though? 🤔

good vid, clear instructions thanks
Great video. Thank you
Is it possible to do it without removing the fan
Yes, especially if you have small hands
Were you able to do it without removing the fan?
Seems impossible
It’s impossible… getting the alternator in and out was a pain…
Getting it in seems impossible right now, it seems like the alterrnator simply doesnt fit on the block, gonna keep messing with it
You figure it out?

I replaced mine because the newer one i installed was faulty. It was a rockauto rebuilt one. Replaced it with a brand new Valeo this time
@@killakill786 thanks for the fast response, i ordered a Valeo too. I feel much better about it now
