I'm 15 and in the middle of an online class brought about by a pandemic. I have just remembered that this surgery system exists and I remember it looked so cool. I'm trying to make one ear focus on my teacher (who is constantly interrupted by his rooster) and the other on this video. Life is something else.
Dude do it i just had hernia surgery i was bilateral it's amazing I'm a little beat up and bruised when they brought me in it was like terminator stuff my doctor is awsome fallow you're dreams😇
I had a total hysterectomy done due to Carcinosarcoma 10 yrs ago and this is the machine that my oncologist used. I had a great doctor and a good hospital. I’m Cancer free.
I had lung surgery on 3/27/23 with Da Vinci 4 arm robot. I arrived at the hospital for registration at 12PM, surgery began at 3:50PM (fell asleep) and was I walking at 10PM. Left the hospital at 4PM (28hrs later) the next day. One other alternative was an open chest procedure with a one week hospital stay, including ICU and then a 6-8 weeks recovery at home. The Robot assisted surgery and my incredibly knowledgeable and talented surgeon Dr Faiz Bhora of Hackensack Meridian JFK Hospital (NJ) helped me navigate an otherwise scary stressful experience.
The da Vinci Surgical System is a robotic surgical system made by the American company Intuitive Surgical. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2000, it is designed to facilitate surgery using a minimally invasive approach, and is controlled by a surgeon from a console.

Thank you DaVinci for cutting me in half! Haha j/k. I had this offered and I couldn't get past the fact that a machine with arms like that were going to cut into me. They look scary to me.
Just had my gallbladder removed with this guy, while (thankfully) don't remember the operation, I was discharged 4-5 hours post-op, and just 4 days later its just sore
Hi, I’ll be having a partial nephrectomy, so I’ll still be having more than 1 kidney, do you think it will be okay to have 3 glasses of wine and a cocktail during a restaurant dinner experience?
I had a partial nephrectomy done on my right kidney monday and here I am friday sitting at home since wednesday night and actually feeling quite well. There was a day I'd have a 6 inch incision and would still be in the hospital.
Oh yes, I know the scene - where the robot arms go berserk! I mentioned Logan's Run to my Oncologist Surgeon and he laughed and said 'It's OK I'll be at the controls'.....
That's one factor but the main reason is because using a computer aided robot is more accurate than a regular human surgeon. Robots aren't perfect too, sometimes they make fatal mistakes too but for every mistake, engineers and technicians learn their lesson.
If I woke up mid-surgery and saw that thing over me I would be permanently traumatized. If I can avoid it, I'll avoid robotic surgery like the plague. I'm a traditionalist I guess, I want a surgeon using their hands directly on me, not some alien-looking robot that is another point of failure.

what if the power runs out
They usually have a car battery in the operating room. Or, they can use a hand crank to generate the electricity needed. Read the handbook.
What happened if all the power goes out in the middle of Surgery
Mariah Wilmot they have generators. All medical places do.
Ha! Hopefully the surgeon pulls his head out if the 3D machine and gets to work old school!

Not in the next few year but they definitely will sooner of latef
It would be good to have AI surgeons where humans may not be sufficiently available, like a war zone or in future space exploration.
