@@drmacabre9721 As far as we can tell, yes, though there very well could have been something before the universe. Actually, things are pointing to there being more universes apart from this one, and were probably more before this one. And this one isn't "finely tuned" for life, it's more that the life that could have existed in this universe is what we are. If things were different, we would likewise be different: that's a big hang up that I see a lot of Christians have. The universe isn't designed around us, we arise out of the universe. Life is beholden to it's laws. We literally couldn't be different.
@@MnemonicHack it is far more likely that a universe is not life permiting. Hints how we have found no life elsewhere. The fact that we are here and everything just happen to fall into place for us to survive is very unlikely. There is a consensus in the scientific community with the big bang theroy. In the theroy it points to an absolute begining. If you have a better more accepted theory that supplants the big bang the floor is yours...
@@drmacabre9721 I can't agree with you there. We have no idea how permitting or unpermitting of life our universe is, let alone any other potential universe. You're putting the cart before the horse: we're not here by some grand coincidence that we evolved on just the right kind of planet that would support us. We're on this planet specifically because we're the kind of life this planet has the ability to produce. The mold wasn't made for us, we were made from the mold. Finding life elsewhere in the galaxy, let alone the universe, is beyond our reach right now. We've barely got probes on a single planet in our solar system, let alone anywhere else in the galaxy. Life may or may not be prevalent, we don't know. And when it comes to intelligent life, we are separated both by vast, vast amounts of space, and absolutely monumental amounts of time. For all we know, there could have been dozens or hundreds of intelligent civilizations throughout the galaxy before us, and we would still be separated by gulfs of tens of millions of years. There could be active civilizations out there right now, but we have very, very limited ways of detecting them currently. Or it may be, as I believe, that life intelligent enough to communicate with is simply incredibly rare. Again, we could be separated by tens, if not hundreds, of millions of years between intelligent civilizations. The Big Bang theory only has to do with the beginning of the current universe. It says nothing about what happened before the start, since we have no known way to look for evidence to anything that happened before the big bang, and it doesn't say anything about the possibility of other universes existing. What I said before, and the Big Bang theory, are not in conflict.
So, a couple of things. First, I want to preface this by saying that nothing I say here is a personal attack on you, or on your religious beliefs. I am simply voicing my own beliefs in the hopes of starting a dialogue. The first thing is one of the biggest issues I have with the more literalist denominations of Christianity: Original Sin. I simply cannot believe that any being of infinite love and wisdom would create imperfect beings such as humans, demand that they be perfect, and further demand that they ask him, the one who created them as imperfect beings, for forgiveness for being what he made them to be. God knows we are imperfect, that we have all done things that we shouldn't have. And he's okay with it, because that is part of what it means to be human; to try your best to be a good person and to occasionally fail in some small way. Making genuine mistakes, giving into small temptations...what matters to God is not that we ask for forgiveness, but that we constantly strive to be better. After all, how often do you forgive the unrepentant, and how often do the righteous need to ask for your forgiveness before you give it to them? The second point is with your interpretation of the line "I can see through the scars inside you". You're spot on with the interpretation of scars as being the windows into the pain beneath, and in your assessment that the singer's message is "I can see that you've been hurt, and that was wrong". Where I disagree with you is the assumption that the singer is offering to directly heal that pain. I think the singer is simply offering understanding. Often the first hurdle to recovering from severe emotional trauma is having someone to accept you, scars and all, and to understand and acknowledge your pain. I think that's all the singer is offering, and the fact that "you're lost without me" needs to be said is more a reflection on the state of society, in which certain types of pain are not taken seriously than on what the singer is actually offering. It's an indictment of society; "Society has become so backwards that apparently I'm the only one left who bothers to empathise with you", which is more obvious when you see the music video and realize that Cirice is a child. We adults may think that children get upset over stupid things, and that may be true, but the insignificance of a problem to *us* has no bearing on the actual suffering felt by a child with the same problem.
Much less if we are made in His image like the Bible claims, are we not vengeful? Are we not wrathful? Are we not forgiving, loving? Is God not vengeful? (He is) Is God not wrathful (oh boy, is he). Is he not loving? And forgiving? Also yes. So to damn us for how we are (and if the Bible is to be believed, we are him) that would damn themself. You can't give us a mind, and damn us for using it.
I see this as the Devil having conversation with someone and at first, he starts out empathic, saying "oh, your soul isn't tainted. You're good the way you are. I can actually feel your pain" and then as the person opens their heart to the Devil, he takes control, telling the person that they can't live without him.
I love this song. I have lot´s of scars inside me and got darkness of deep depression. But I also an Empath who feel other peoples pain, skars and darkness. We are just human in a dark world and I call this world for HELL.

If you’re looking for a message, you’re going to find one based on your personal opinions, biases or religion. This song is about propaganda, and specifically that of the Christian church. This is not to say that the church is wrong or bad, because clearly billions of good people world wide adhere to the tenets of Christianity. In my opinion though, as a whole, the church has not addressed and continues to be silent about those who mutate, lie and support immoral behaviour by those claiming to be leaders in the community. The most powerful tools used by the church are shame and self-doubt, and then they profess to be able to counsel that once its well sown. It’s archaic, sad and cruel, but until the “silent majority” decides to fix things, it will remain broken. Evil is very much alive and well fed in the Christian church. Hence songs like Cirice.
Maybe this track talks about all those who tend to be manipulative on others and the so called followers beleive whatever. Maybe the serpent, devil or whatever is the one who wants to posses and influence others, whether being powerful people, politicians, 'god' preachers etc
It’s like saying “I don’t delve in black science” when it’s the intent of what you’re wanting to do with the information you have. You could cure cancer, or make something worst than a nuke. Same with “magic” imo
When you're judging the song from a particular world view, you're going to see it the way you want. Ghost sees religion as false so they take the other side just to get people to think and question things and actually use your brain instead of following something BLINDLY. But as I said, you are coming from a particular belief system so you interpret it as such.
While some have mentioned that this is about Satan being on a level playing field. However, I also think this can be applied to any religious or spiritual organization that is willing to claim that they understand a person on a different level in order to lure them in. Rather than speaking their words of faith, they will focus on the desire of the person in order to manipulate.
Love this format of your videos, music + lyric comments with pauses. Keep it up. Other great Ghost songs to react to could be Rats, Year Zero, Con Clavi Con Dio. And other songs that would be interesting is Parway Drive - Wishing Wells and Machine Head - Halo. Thx. Love from Sweden!
Funnily you can relate the lyrics to both the devil and the church... Because who offers salvation for a price? The church or respectively the devil, both for a toll. And both argue in the same way against each other. Has a nice duality to it.
I don't know if you guys still remember the selling of indulgences from history, where the church took money to "free you" from your sins. look today at tele pastors who ask their congregations for money to get the next jet. hypocrisy at its finest. note that the church doesn't equal the religion at its core, since todays "sheperds" usually preach water while drinking wine. they are the very people jesus warned against. it is also in the title since cirice is old english for church, but this may escape some people in relation to the lyrics.
On a note that’s less critical of christianity, the fact that the lyrics are only different from christianity in certain lines is intentional. There’s a fine line. God is just as manipulative as any demon, except people let him pull the strings even when it leads to death and misery.
He was far off with the “I know your soul is not tainted even though you’ve been told so” cause that lyric isn’t necessarily about sin in general but things that hateful Christians call sin even if it is not. For example being gay or bi

Hello everyone, I have a question in connection to the actual video of Cirice, does anyone know what is being said at a very low whisper at the end of the video?
Damn. This pastor doesn’t shit on the band and just calmly expressed his view on the lyrics, and some of you shot on him just for being a pastor and having an opinion which he gave very reasonably. Don’t go claiming all christian’s are intolerant if you can’t tolerate a Christian’s opinion.

I like that an open mind is being taken by anyone religious about dark music . But I find it so cringe having read many holy books when anyone tries to relate things to their own version of what something means like they are some enlightened being . My uncle is a vicar ( pastor in the US ) and he used to say such ridiculous claims of knowledge about things and I would debate and question it . He really wouldn’t like it . I find that as him being someone who is a figure head in his community that he feels he knows better . My argument is for example he told me Jesus loves you - really ? It doesn’t say it in the bible not even once . I also mention about parts of the bible such as Leviticus 14 which is the most vile hateful piece of shit ever written ( if it was modern day ) and there’s nothing that can justify it has any good about it . Anything any religious person knows is read from a book from people of many ages ago and whatever shit they make up as they go along . I find it quite bad to do it as I think your selling lies to people who will believe you when you know no better . They read the same book .
Just a suggestion you guys should really listen to Hurt - Rapture 5:44 minute song or even Hurt Talk to God deep songs lot of meaning behind them. Always great content guys!
"All life is only a set of pictures in the brain, among which there is no difference betwixt those born of real things and those born of inward dreamings, and no cause to value the one above the other." - H.P. Lovecraft. One of my favorite quotes from my favorite author.
I remember back when I was younger, the pastor would say "just because youre at church on Sunday dosnt mean youre going to heaven." Thinking about it now, i think that would make people feel like they could never measure up. Church can be discouraging depending on whos speaking. They say" you can do all the right in the world, go to church and still not go to heaven. " That makes me think of the pastors, will they not measure up when it's time? Why are they good enough and not the people. I mean we are all Gods children right?
@@Kbecker2436 You seem like a good person who genuinely seeks to make the world a better place, and I appreciate these videos, I find the spiritual discussion interesting. Your response to the lines " I know your soul is not tainted even though you've been told so" implied to me that you believe men are born bearing the responsibility for Adams original sin. I apologize if I misinterpreted, but this is an idea that I honestly find pretty repugnant, and I think it's the main idea that this song Is trying to address.
@@theTYTAN3 I agree, Nietzsche tackled this over a hundred years ago. Telling people that they are bad to boot is simply gas-lighting en mass. How do you make a crowd vulnerable to lies? You simply convince them they are naturally bad and unworthy.
@@theTYTAN3 This is the same tactic the Catholic Church has done for two millennia. Where do you think the Catholic guilt trip stereotype comes from? They prey on the insecurities they manufacture.
The picture associated with this as a single is a face with one half 'evil' and the other half 'pure' - and as was pointed out, it's supposed to show that religions of all types get to people in the same way. But the tainted soul bit is telling. Though the idea of the immortal soul is actually a pagan idea introduced to Christianity by the Platonists (it was Plato that thought the soul was immortal) who became the Catholic church in Alexandria and taught generations of priests and bishops... The Bible makes it clear there is a second death, after the resurrection of all, which is permanent for those not judged well by Jesus at the time of Judgement (after the second death, death is also thrown into the lake of fire, so all remaining will become immortal). Anyway, love the reaction. I'm a Christian Ghost fan. Their stuff, made more obvious in live performance is theatrical. Like Alice Cooper (the Christian), but pretending to be satanist rather than child murdering. Tobias even does a fake Hammer horror accent when talking to the crowd :)
The part where it says we see eye to eye .. Its the devil saying We are on the same level and I understand you. and now there is nothing between us meaning there's no god between us and from now on our merge is eternal. But that's my opinion.

Rather than speaking their words of faith, they will focus on the desire of the person in order to manipulate.
You should watch the video. One of my favorites.
I am not aware of any church that charges a price...certainly Jesus did not: “Freely you have received, freely give...
Jesus paid the toll. What’s the price you speak of?
I don't know if you guys still remember the selling of indulgences from history, where the church took money to "free you" from your sins. look today at tele pastors who ask their congregations for money to get the next jet. hypocrisy at its finest. note that the church doesn't equal the religion at its core, since todays "sheperds" usually preach water while drinking wine. they are the very people jesus warned against. it is also in the title since cirice is old english for church, but this may escape some people in relation to the lyrics.
And here I finally got this song out of my head 😂😂 I love this song.
On a note that’s less critical of christianity, the fact that the lyrics are only different from christianity in certain lines is intentional. There’s a fine line. God is just as manipulative as any demon, except people let him pull the strings even when it leads to death and misery.
BIG KAT T.V.
You are Awesome! GOD BLESS YOU! Thank you for explaining the song. Great video!
Loved how you explained “I can see through the scars inside you”👌🏽
He was far off with the “I know your soul is not tainted even though you’ve been told so” cause that lyric isn’t necessarily about sin in general but things that hateful Christians call sin even if it is not. For example being gay or bi
@@Astro_Error gay or bi wouldn’t be good examples…that’s tainted in general….the hell you talking about? Good examples having alcohol, nicotine, cannabis I would say better examples? But to each their own.
@@anthonymargheret5369 I see, I got that meaning in the song because I saw lots of comments from people who were raised in Christian households where they’re parents would harass them for being gay. But I can see why you got your meaning from the song too. I mainly saw the comments on the music video for cirice
@@anthonymargheret5369 what’s cool about music is we can all take different meanings and ideas from one song.
@@anthonymargheret5369 btw is the whole flat earth thing a troll or do you actually believe in that stuff?
We might disagree on some points, but I appreciate the fact that a pastor is listening to a "satanic" band. Good job guys
Lyle Allbritton I guess you and him don’t see eye to eye
@@Isaac-bm6xt well I mean, I guess no? But I appreciate what he's doing and wouldn't mind hanging out if we came to that. I may be (whatever I am) but still
I would like to know about the songs and I feel you are looking out for everyone! GOD BLESS YOU!
I hear people around my town play this song a lot and I am glad to live here. My entire family loves metal and rock and a lot of other families listen to this kind of music too.
I don’t know if this is a Canadian thing or my town sort of thing.
We also play death metal songs at hockey games in my town.
I don't feel like this song is a bash on Christianity at all actually, it's about empathy and feeling for someone else. Not anti-religion at alll
@WidePeepo7 in a sense that's what I meant. I've heard Tobias talk about it both ways, it's still not bashing anybody though haha. It's just saying "oh you've been told you aren't good enough don't worry you are"
HOLIER THAN HEAVEN- THE AMITY AFFLICTION
Cirice is latin for church
Its much more visually exciting when you guys can watch the actual video. There are alot of other reaction people that do it, I am sure you can find a way to do it.
"The high and mighty judge us to be unworthy of eternal life, and so we shall rip ourselves from our mortal coils and aim armageddon at the pearly gates. We shall burn our souls in the furnace of industry, use our bones to stoke the flames, and with the molten gold build our own paradise. And when he rains down on us we will respond in kind, and rend the very stars in the heavens asunder should they become our foe."
"When the rapture comes, it will only serve to mark those too weak to defy a tyrant. For it is better to be a king in hell than a serf in heaven."
Ghost - Year Zero!!!!
"Sir-rease" is the proper pronunciation
Hello everyone, I have a question in connection to the actual video of Cirice, does anyone know what is being said at a very low whisper at the end of the video?
Damn. This pastor doesn’t shit on the band and just calmly expressed his view on the lyrics, and some of you shot on him just for being a pastor and having an opinion which he gave very reasonably. Don’t go claiming all christian’s are intolerant if you can’t tolerate a Christian’s opinion.
Stop stopping every minute and listen to the song first
What does Tom Brady have to do with the song???
I mean explains in the video why he was brought up...
You guys have to do "Judith" by A Perfect Circle. The meaning behind it will help you understand the pain you can feel in the song.
One thing that I like about Ghost is the instrurmentention, the messages found in their music makes me uncomfortable as a Christian on the other hand
You guys are missing an amazing video they made with this!
I would be down to see the reaction to the depth of Satan's eyes, I can't get it out of my head lately.
That's a good one! I love the opening guitar riff on it.
Hehe, plot twist... Dave Grohl is a guitarist for Ghost. NIRVANA~
Please react to : Year zero from gosht too
Why would he? Salt in the wound ...lol
How Would People, React? If Stryper, Sang This Song. With Out Knowing The Background Of The Band Ghost? Stryper, Is A Christian Rock / Heavy Metal Band. Back In The 19080s, If Nobody Has Heard Of Them. LOL
Idk if it would go directly against the pastor's beliefs but PLEASE react to Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel by Behemoth.
WARNING
This IS the satanic side of metal... even I have problems with listening to some of it... and I'm not a religious person
Also not just requesting to be a jerk. If the request offends you.. sorry
Not offended, we will take a look. Thanks!
@@Kbecker2436 do it. It will give yall lots to work with
You guys should listen to slipknots vermillion pt 1 , or snuff also by slipknot
SNUFF !!!
Should be out tomorrow
I know this is an old video BUT
Do a reaction for
FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY
-do you see him
You can’t believe in white magic without the black. Same goes for spirituality. The opposition to your beliefs does not mean it’s bad
Sir eece! Let the song play a bit!
the more pastors i hear, the more convinced i am that yahweh is the great deceiver.
What’s funny when you say that a lot of the lyrics can be read as Christian is that the Devil was once an angel, too. Of course he would know how to use Christian phrases to his benefit.
As a matter fact I think Sabbath could take every song that ghost has made and make it 10 times better
Nice reaction guys, great song 🤘
That was a wombo combo for biblical knowledge
Great reaction would love to see you guys react to faith, pro memoria, he is and life enteral ( all songs by ghost )
Keep up the reactions :)
You guys should react to some Devil Wears Prada, start with Danger: Wildman.
REALLY LIKE THAT SONG A LOT!
You guys are working hard today! 👍 😃
"Rice"... Anyone get it? These guys are like the male version of the two ladies I'm referring too. Also cool to see Christians digging Satanic music.
Missed opportunity here. The title should be "Pastor triggered by Ghost song Cirice". ;)
Also, please do *not* interrupt a solo *ever* .
Thank you for your insight.
Honestly. Was hoping to see a seriously devout Catholic completed with the suit and everything review a Ghost song. 😅
In all honesty, there is no reason God couldn't be the one singing this… God would have that scar knowledge, etc…
They have more satanic lyrics, go to them. Like the song called Ritual
Ritual, Con Clavi Con Dio, Satan Prayer, Stand By Him.
You should check out Shaman's Harvest - The Devil in Our Wake.
I like the band ghost
You should do he is by ghost
They make nickleback sound good
Ok, he's talking about a talking snake. Yeah right, lol
Wooooooooh i like your t shirt avenged sevenfold!
I would like to hear about what you think of Thoughts of a Dying Atheist by Muse
Architects // Royal Beggars
Reality is in the mind of the beholder.
"All life is only a set of pictures in the brain, among which there is no difference betwixt those born of real things and those born of inward dreamings, and no cause to value the one above the other." - H.P. Lovecraft. One of my favorite quotes from my favorite author.
Too much pressure in religion....NOBODY can measure up.
No thanks.
The name Cirice (sir reese) means Church
I agree that we should be held accountable when we do something wrong, but I'm going to have to question the "wrongness" of being born.
Not sure about how that all came out, I can readdress.
I feel like this song is more about cults and their persuasion
Devour the Day- Good Man
what do you mean god wants to talk to us he is the creator of all things if he wants to he can
Guy on the right looks like Q from impractical jokers
The music video was great for this track
I gotta say it again... "Rice"
You need to do Monstrance clock or Pro Memoria
The part where it says we see eye to eye .. Its the devil saying We are on the same level and I understand you. and now there is nothing between us meaning there's no god between us and from now on our merge is eternal. But that's my opinion.
Can you do " Lamb of God"
Or roots from " in this moment"
Is there some sort of reference or saying to hell
Being a bottomless pit ( or the hollow in the song )
Original sin is such a base cult manipulation. Create a problem and provide the solution.
Check out Call Me Little Sunshine
This is good, but I would recommend you watching the music video for this song
