- What's that? This tournament won't take place for another four years? Making a prediction this early will result in it being incredibly outdated? Eh, who cares?
Following on from my original prediction of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, I've decided to try and apply the same format to the following edition of the quadrennial event! To begin, this part of the prediction will walk through the full qualification process and the draws which determine the groups in the World Cup, taking more than a few liberties due to the relatively limited information surrounding this tournament at the moment. By the end, 48 teams will qualify in order to compete for the chance to win the elusive World Cup trophy, and you'll have to stay tuned for Part 2 to find out which team I think will take it home!

So, here it is! What are your thoughts? Which other teams would you choose to qualify from each confederation? As always, let me know with your own comment below (as long as you keep things civil and respect both mine and other people’s opinions, that should be a given)! As I mentioned in a community post not too long ago, Part 2 will be out some time in October, so be sure to keep an eye out for when it eventually arrives! I’ll see you then.
Effort is crazy this is an amazing video
bro- this vid is so good and so fire :D i wish i was good as u :(
For me
UEFA (54 teams, without Russia) - 16 qualifying groups (6 groups with 4 teams, 10 groups with 3 teams), winner advance to WC
Oceania (11 teams): 2 groups (first 6 teams, second 5 teams), the winners advance to final, winner of final get ticket to WC, loser take part in InterContinental play-off
Conmebol (10 teams): 2 qualifying groups (each 5 teams), first three position advance to WC, fourth places fight each other for InterContinental play-off
Concacaf (32 teams): first round - 8 groups (4 teams each group), winner advance to 2nd round
Second round - 2 groups (4 teams each group), winner advance to WC, last positions are out, 2nd and 3rd place advance to third round
Third round - one group of 4 teams, winner advance to WC, 2nd and 3rd take part in InterContinental play-off, 4th is out
Africa (54 teams): 1 round - 18 groups of 3 teams, winner advance to 2nd round
2 round - 3 groups of 6 teams, first three teams od each group advance to WC, 4th places advance to 3rd round
3rd round - 3 teams fight in one group fight for free slot for InterContinental play-off
Asia (47 teams): first three rounds like confirmed system, but in 4th round take part only 3 teams (3rd places from 3rd round), first two places advance to WC, 3rd position take part in InterContinental play-off
Africa (54 teams):

Hi i just watch this channel and its amazing you got a new subscriber and maybe you can do one over euro 2024
Thank you so much! I’m gonna put it to a community vote to decide what I make next, but Euro 2024 will definitely be an option on that poll, so feel free to vote on it when that goes up in a week or two!

Ah yes, the pre-Bale retirement predictions.
Can’t wait to see the qualifiers for the World Cup I want the underdogs to make it in the world cup
Underdogs?
@@caryslloyd3669under dogs mean that they hope that small nations like my country for example honduras qualify.

Don't discount Colombia. Currently #17 in the Fifa rankings and much better than a lot of the teams you said would qualify.
Solid work I think Ghana will make it from Africa and Sweden will make it from Europe. I see China making it somehow as well.
They all definitely have a good chance, but these are probably some of the bigger teams from each confederation that I can see slipping up or just not being good enough to make it, Sweden in particular after having a good amount of poor matches recently. If they manage to turn things around in these last couple matches of the UEFA Nations League then I might reconsider, but for now I can see Norway sort of taking their place. They’ve definitely been looking more promising than Sweden lately, at least from what I’ve seen

Surprized that NMI (A AFC non-FIFA member) was up for qualification! (Sounds a bit weird, right?)
Very true! I legit didn’t even know they were a thing until I did the research for this video, but apparently that’s official! I believe there’s some weird regulation that prevents them from passing round 2 in the qualifying process, so they can’t make the actual World Cup, although I don’t think they’ll even make it as far as round 2 anyway
@@thatonecitrus6786 Probably AFC approved the decision of NMI into the Asian Cup qualifiers, that would be the reason...

Russia in Europa UEFA? Maybe in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in the US, Mexico and Canada, he will play his matches in the AFC zone. In Europe, nobody wants to play with them and they want to move to Asia.
In Asia? It’s possible, I could see a chance of Russia switching confederations to play against teams from countries that they have better relations with, but they’re still banned from FIFA as well, so it will still mean they won’t be able to qualify even if AFC accepts them.

I appreciate the interest! However, I’m not particularly interested in looking at predicting either of those tournaments anytime soon, if ever at all. They’re just too far from now, and this prediction was already pushing it with the data we have now, so predicting those tournaments would probably be the same, but just with more strange calls.
Sorry if this disappoints you. I plan on asking my community about what they want to see next relatively soon, but the only other tournaments I’ll consider predicting for now would only be ones that take place over the next couple years. Hopefully you’ll still like whatever comes up next!
@@thatonecitrus6786 Yeah I think that you already went too far into the future with the 2026 world cup

Guess the winner by 5 clues!(It's not Argentina)
Clue 1:It is a country in South America
Clue 2:One of their best players was in PSG
Clue 3:It is the fifth biggest country in the world
Clue 4:Their capital city has about 20 million people

1. IR Iran🇮🇷
2. South Korea 🇰🇷
3.Japan🇯🇵

5. Australia 🇦🇺
6.Qatar 🇶🇦 or China PR 🇨🇳

9. Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 or Oman 🇴🇲

Yeah solid prediction! Outside of the top five or six teams there are quite a few others that could claim one of those other spots by 2026, so this one’s definitely up to interpretation!
My prediction for the semifinals:
Final match:India vs Brazil
Third place match:Argentina vs Portugal
Third place winner:Argentina
Champion:Brazil
Out in the quarterfinals:
Japan(my country),England,USA,Croatia
Japan vs Brazil(0-3)
USA vs Argentina(1-4)
Portugal vs England(3-2)
India vs Croatia(2-0)

Personal prediction: France, Switzerland and Denmark won't be at 2026 WC. France will have to face a lot of corruption issues (there are a lot of conflicts of interest between France and FIFA).
I'm having doubt. 2026 FIFA World Cup is divided into 16 groups and 3 in each group. Please put another video for this because it was an official announcement by FIFA. Pls put another video for 16 groups. Football fan in India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
I did talk about this briefly in the video itself, but it’s long enough as is and I didn’t want to spend a crazy amount of time explaining the 12 groups of 4 decision in that video. In any case, this comment gives me a good reason to elaborate!
I know that FIFA’s current decision is for the format to be 16 groups of 3, and if nothing is done to actually change that, it will be the format they use. However, many people have complained about that format potentially leading to teams working together to eliminate another team in their group, and it generally seems more problematic than the tried and true group of four that’s been around for ages. That’s probably why FIFA have brought up the possibility of doing 12 groups of 4 instead, and I think they’ll eventually follow through with that. Here’s why.
That format would result in there being an extra 24 group stage games, so the total amount for the tournament will go up from 80 to 104. If there are more matches, it will most likely result in more tickets to matches, and more time spent by people watching the tournament. More matches equals more viewership, and more viewership equals more money for FIFA. Seeing some of the scandals FIFA has gotten themselves into over the years, like the Qatar bid, it’s clear that they aren’t incorruptible when it comes to making money, and this is probably a less controversial way to boost their profits.
I also think the experience of watching a 12 groups of 4 World Cup will probably be better for the average viewer, as it will be more likely to result in more exciting matches between bigger teams, especially at the group stage. Say we took the 32 teams we have at this upcoming World Cup, and added another 16 teams ranked lower than everyone else. If there are three pots, there will be 16 teams in each, so it’s entirely possible that Brazil could be drawn from Pot 1 into a group, and then from Pot 2 they could face a team like Ghana or Saudi Arabia, and those match-ups should have pretty obvious results, generally speaking. With four pots of twelve, the worst teams they could come up against would be Tunisia and South Korea, and while that doesn’t sound much better on paper, those teams are ranked 25-30 spots higher in the FIFA Men’s Rankings than the other two. That’s the worst case too, as Brazil could still easily end up being drawn in with Switzerland in this scenario, just like they are for this World Cup. Doing it this way will most likely give more purpose to the group stage and make it more suspenseful for people to watch, keeping them engaged.
The only downsides I could see would be for players and other sporting organisations, but I think the impact to both will be fairly minimal. While a team that made it as far as the semi-finals would have to play eight matches now instead of the usual seven, there can’t really be any less than six days in between a team’s matches at the group stage, because there are twelve groups and there aren’t ever more than four matches that take place in a day at the World Cup. This will make rest periods longer at the group stage and help to soften the blow of the extra match. While scheduling for other sporting organisations might be a problem with a longer lasting World Cup, I can only see this being a week longer at most, which isn’t really the end of the world. FIFA is in charge of the tournament at the end of the day, and they’ll probably care about themselves before they care about other organisations or players.
Even if I end up being wrong, I’ll stick with this 12 groups of 4 format for the sake of this prediction anyway, because I personally think it would better preserve the identity of the tournament and keep it exciting all the way throughout, which I think could make the expansion worth it in the end. If you’d prefer the 16 groups of 3 format, that’s totally fine! Plenty of other people most likely will or already have created predictions with that as the basis, but for me, this is how I’d prefer things to go.
(Sorry for the long reply, I just have a lot to say about this topic lol)
@@thatonecitrus6786 Thaks bro for your elaborate reason 🙏🙏🙏🙏
And then one small request, I think India will qualify in 2026 FIFA World Cup because of following reasons :
1.12 years ago North Korea is 105th rank in FIFA rankings but they qualified in 2010 Fifa world cup they win against iran Saudi Arabia UAE
2.Iceland is in 131st rank in 2012 but they qualified in 2018 FIFA World Cup
3.They improved good progress in FIFA World Cup qualifiers and rankings (last place in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier and 3rd place in 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and they draw against Qatar and Oman)
4. New administration former footballer as president of AIFF.
5.India hosted Two FIFA U17 World Cup in men's and women's. It's an achievement.
Why you said India did not qualified for FIFA World Cup 2026 Say reasons for this???? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@rithickr7437 They’re definitely improving at good pace from what I can tell, there’s definitely a chance there! To be honest, with the sheer amount of teams that I had to look into for this video, I didn’t really have the time and willpower to deeply analyse each and every one, so India might be improving at a faster rate than I thought, and I’m sure you’d know more about the team than I would because you support them. Even so, Asia’s big six teams seem like they’ll probably hold firm in that position for at least a few more years, and other teams that are already in a stronger position than India seem to be improving just as much, like Uzbekistan. If they all end up making it through there’s not a whole lot of room left for India at that point. I’d say they might have better odds by 2030 once the dynamics in Asian football probably start to change a little more.
India could definitely surprise though! I know I’ll be rooting for them to do well in the next qualifiers!

Definitely one of my bolder predictions (they qualified only through the play-off round for a reason, after all). Even so, it looks like they might have potential, and they got some relatively good results lately, like a 4-0 win over El Salvador, a 0-0 draw against Mexico, and a few other decent results. If they’re able to keep it up, they might just stand a chance of making it! There will definitely be tough competition between those final 8 teams though, I’m not gonna deny that
