I re watched the movie last night beCAUSE I CAN and when Newt kept saying please don't hurt my creatures they're not dangerous, my heart literally broke because you can just see how upset he is and hear it in his voice :(
i love newt more than any other harry potter character because he's the only one i can relate to. he's quiet and awkward and loves animals and he has a deeper understanding of animals and is a hufflepuff and is weird and annoys people and is bad at eye contact and it's just really cool to see someone like me in the movies

Newt Scamander is (socially) awkward, has sympathies for marginalised groups, doesn't always get along with people-perhaps even most of the time, understands and loves magical creatures when even most wizards and witches don't... and has loads of empathy (in general.) Harry Potter? He's just a hero tempted by the dark side-like Luke Skywalker (not that I'm even saying he's a rip-off, just threat they have similarities). Also, I almost cry at 2:04 because of how much I love the character, this part of the song and how well they fit together.
This video and the song choice is absolutely perfect. I love how even as it highlights the movie it doesn't give too much away for those who haven't seen it. I honestly didn't notice until your video that Newt had wrapped the suitcase with twine at that point xD
The movie is really good and it broke my heart when they tried to take his suitcase away from him. In truth, he's misunderstood and people don't really see past that.
