I would love to have a float switch. I've flooded my laundry room more times than I care to admit. My sediment filter is the color of an old penny after 3 or 4 months. Great suggestion about burping the air out. I'm going to start doing that.
    Good video.👍🏾

Thanks! Yeah, it annoys me sometimes having the air trapped in the canisters. Not sure if it does anything bad, but it’s easy enough to fix. Take care!

I wish I had your municipal water source. Mine averages 1140 TDS out of the tap

Wow! Yeah, I’m next to a large lake. Do you use a lot of resin, or have two membranes?

      I have a 7 stage
      Stage1-is a 10micron sediment
      Stage2-is a5 micron sediment
Stage3-4 are 5 micron carbon blocks
      Stage 5 75GpD membrane
      6&7 are color changing resin.
I have been burning through resin every 50 gallons or so.
Almost cheaper to get it from Culligan directly

Hi Matt, roughly how much water can you put through these before changing?
I only use around 25 litres a week on my nano for water change and top off, I haven't changed mine in a year and my sediment filter still looks brand new.

It will depend on what’s in your water, and how much you use. If you have softer water, the filters, resin, and membrane will last much longer. I use the tds meters as a gauge on when to change the membrane. I have one installed right after it, and when the tds is creeping higher, I change it. Usually every two years. For comparison, I use about 142 liters a week in water changes. So my system is in use more often. I would keep on eye on the tds of the final product water as a guide as well. The filters may also have a rating on the packaging that states the water capacity of them.
