    Always covering every angle to ensure no one has any issues with the install man, good stuff!

    Just got one for my RV4. Your video was helpful. Thanks for the effort. I dislike reading manuals. Mine fit for those who are looking for a fit for 2020 Rav 4. I kind of took a chance on the fit. The only thing that was a little awkward was instead of being straight my rack is rounded. It still seems to be fine tho. Thanks

    I just got one of these, 84", for my 4 runner. There is now wind noise (when moonriof is open), but it's worth it to me for all the extra storage!

    Great video! Can you install the U bolts upside down so the screws aren't sticking up?

    I got some Yakima Load warrior Cargo basket on my subaru forester wilderness and the Yakima Timberline Towers, Yakima Jet stream bar aerodynamic crossbars. They look great all together.

      The load warrior is still on my list to get in the future. I think it looks the best.

    Nice video. Just curious if your oil pan is still leaking or not. Thanks!

    Nice little install vid. very thorough, Now that you've used it through the summer, did it do what you wanted it to? Is it rusting yet? How do you think that would fit on Forester Wilderness?

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you. Yes, it did what I needed and I’m pretty happy with it. Surface rust is inevitable, I even took the time to seal the connections and I still see a little bit. I’m willing to bet that expensive brands will eventually get surface rust too. I think it’ll look great on the Forester Wilderness, it’ll be the perfect size for it.

    What was the impact on MPG if you do not mind sharing. Love the videos and Mods you have done!!

      Honestly I never got above 17 mpg. With the rack, I’m seeing 16.5 mpg with a mix of highway and city driving. Thank you!

    Great video! Do you happen to remember what size the bolts and nuts were? I have the same rack coming and want to grab some stainless steel hardware to keep it from rusting.

      I don’t and I’m mad at myself for not making note of it. Sorry about that!

    Any plans to protect that piano black around the shifter? It gets so scratched no matter how hard I try…

      @ronfromportland  Год назад

      Yes, it’s already protected! Premium Auto Styling makes protectors for the shifter area. Check them out!

    Any wind noise when your driving?

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  Год назад

      Yeah it’s pretty loud but you get used to it. Not too bad.

    • @blessedveteran
      @blessedveteran 6 месяцев назад

      I only hear the wind noise with the moonroof open all the way, not when its popped up. To me, its an ok trade off for the extra storage 👍

    Seems like the U-bolt brackets are upside down. You won't be able to put any big items flat with them being in the way sticking up.

    • @ronfromportland
      @ronfromportland  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, I agree. Believe it or not that’s what the instructions say to do. Flipping them the other way should also work though.

    • @blessedveteran
      @blessedveteran 6 месяцев назад

      Actually, i tried to put them the other way and it does not work. The "wingnuts" are also there to help keep the bars in.

      I think you put them upside down
