I started to love black veil brides when i stopped expecting them to be heavy. There music is very enjoyable.
They actually are really talented musicians, Jake Pitts is a beast on the guitar. It's just their image that deters a lot of metalheads from listening to some songs.
It honestly was just that, they're a pretty good band with a loot of creativity, Wretched and divine is smth amazingg
I also personally like them, first band that brought me into farther waters of metal music, its not just their image tho that deters a lot of metalheads, it could be also bcs a lot of their songs are anthems, which I feel isn't attracting a lot of metalheads in.
Metal heads need to be more open minded.

I really appreciate BVB’s simplicity. They never stray from their origins but are still constantly evolving. They consistently produce solid songs
We all can agree the 4th album of BVB was heavy. Faithless got some really heavy riff
And stolen omen. Bvb 4 album in general was their heaviest and my personal favorite

Crimson Skies is my favorite, personally, but I'm totally aware this is their best written song. All the instruments really come together in this song and Andy's singing higher than he had before. Andy also directed this music video!
never really understood the random hate for them. usually pretty good imo. They could be a little heavier and win back some of the older fans but at the same time they've evolved into what they wanted and it's still pretty damn good.

Yes this is hardrock, would I personally classify something more like Rivers of Nihil or Slice the Cake as epic sure, but this is still a fun track and everyone is free to have their opinion. Just because this isn't something grand and beautiful, doesn't mean someone can't enjoy it and call it epic

Black Veil Brides is a genuinely good band. Great writing and phenomenal performers with some of the best stage presence in modern music. I strongly believe that BVB isn't hated because of their music, it's because of their image and their fan base that worships Andy like a god. It can get annoying. But let's face it, they're the closest we have to 80s arena rock and Glam Metal for the younger generation, it just has a modern twist with lower tunings and more chunky riffs. One more thing, they were the one band to come out of the Metalcore era that doesn't try to look tough or manly, they just don't give a shit. The naturally bold attitude and lack of insecurities are signs of real masculinity.

This song is awesome. Love their theatrical performance, their sound. The fandom. The story behind the songs and the whole concept with The Phantom Tomorrow. It's totally awesome. These guys kick ass no matter what anyone says. They are a big inspiration to me, especially Andy. Ever since he was a little boy, he knew what he wanted and followed his dream. He never gave up on his beliefs, no matter what people said and he will never do.
Their fanbase is toxic, their fans treat and see Andy as an actual god and it's cringe worthy.
@@TobikunOuO You can't speak for all the fans. Some are definitely too exstreme, and I don't like that either, but for the most part I only see a friendly and warm fanbase who cares about each other.

I grew out of this type of music at the beginning of high school where I really started to like hip hop but this year has been slow and there hasn’t been much good rap music so I’ve been listening to bvb again and man the nostalgia. I am so excited for their new album

I'm not fanatic about this band, but dammit some of those solos remind me of classic Escape the Fate and other Metalcore vibes. This band has some very good hooks. I do like the vocals, but "in the end" it's just poppy as hell. Like Nik said, they play it safe.

I love this reaction. BvB got me into metal, so even though I don’t listen to them as much they’re still special to me. I agree that this was a solid track and better than the last, but they’re still playing it kinda safe. I have high hopes for this record that things will get heavier and more unique as it goes on (that’s what’s happened so far), so I really hope Nik keeps reacting to them

The song was written by Jinxx and he dedicated this song to his step dad dead in the begging of 2020. During the clip, he played at violin like with his step dad (seemed to be the stepdad's violin) and the acoustic guitar of his mom.
LOVE that music video, makes me cry, and love Jinxx, he's my close 2nd favorite band member, to Andy of course.

Absolutely adore BVB, and have followed them for years. I'm probably not as much of a hardcore metalhead as a lot of the guys subscribed here, but the aesthetics of Black Veil Brides is some of the things that I love about them. That, and they manage to hit that middle-spot between heavy and catchy. ;)

I agree! I used to jam out to them years ago, and this is a really refreshing sound. Cliche and overdone, but refreshing.
Atm BVB has one of the best "solo player" on the "metalcore" (really soft in this case) scene, CC is a sick drummer too!
I became a fan of them around 2012-2013. A year later I got into the prog metal/djent scene and kinda just left them behind as I was getting older. Their songs are nice to revisit sometimes and I'm loving the new ones so far. Bvb will always have a special place in my heart.

This is a very good song! Grew on me a lot! The video however is tied with "Scarlett Cross" which their new album has a whole concept so their next videos if they have more will look a lot like this for the story of the album

Sad to say I still listen to their first 3 albums here and there. They've got their niche of 70s and 80s style rock mixed with a modern crunchy bits.
Woulda been cool if they pulled a Periphery - Pale Aura and went half time through the first chorus but picked up the pace for the second chorus and kept building up throughout the song like that

Never really listened to BVB but I have to say, this song is really solid and I am really glad that they played a guitar solo instead of a breakdown. i personally like solos more than breakdown but i enjoy both.

I really appreciate BVB for their catchy and simple tunes that really make andy's voice shine.
At some point what people consider commercial is mostly up to them. I started with bands that were more soft before growing towards the core scene.
This is their own style, they keep to it, very fun to play when learning guitar.
I think that people should acknowledge them for their live performance. You can be as chunky, as risky as you'd like, if you are only good in studio, what's the point ?
Andy's voice is so close between records and live and they have beautiful energy. And sometimes, listening to more safe vibes it's good for relaxing. ;)
I like the fact that BVB has made their mark and they've stayed with it. I seen these guys live and loved it. I won't say their my favorite band but I respect them!
AH I just got it, this melody sounded so familiar, the pre chorus is so similar to Architects' Impermanence, it looks like they came out the same year too haha

one of the most original albums of 2021, maybe the most original, all the storyline song after song make the phantom tomorrow one of the best bvb albums and it is hard to see that this kind of works are unseen from medias because the 80% of people doesn't even know how to create an album like this

Uh, no. Tons of modern bands have amazing solos. Periphery in particular for example, like Reptile, Follow Your Ghost or Omega.

I mean, more than decent, really. Nice, simplistic riffs, the big chorus. Not bad. Not something I'd listen to all day every day but would still nod the head if it came up in a playlist.
They sound like old like a storm now (if any of yall have heard of them), but this song would've been perfect to have a breakdown in it.
