Furogu is an awesome name. I have ordered mines along with the 10ft cable, premium screw driver, and pink thumbsticks two days ago. I can't wait to get them. Great video by the way
Since you brought up the fact that the buttons are sticky, I realized that there's a huge learning curve for having clean inputs. I main Kazuya, and having to pull EWGF off is harder than expected. Since the move is a just frame attack, that means an inputs will flop the move and WGF will come out instead. That includes directional inputs as well. I was pulling them out yesterday, but today, it's not coming out. Could be the muscle memory being remembered differently but who knows. Thought I throw those two cents out there! It's not impossible to do EWGF, it's much more difficult with sticky buttons since addition inputs mean EWGF into WGF. Letting everyone learn from my learning curve. Got to clean up inputs with the D Pad because they make a world of difference.
Sometimes repetition can work against you , and you're also getting used to new hardware. When I practice combos for a hour, I tend to drop them the longer I go . Taking breaks are needed, so you brain and body can process all that info . Taking a day off and then returning to practice you may realize that your inputs are more sharper from when you previously did them. If you're feeling down or you fingers hurt it's also maybe time for a break .
I have to let you know that you are using the small circle plastic thingy wrong... You are supposed to glue it (it already has 3M glue on it) at the center underneath of the electronic contacts of the dpad. You can check out battle beaver's official video on how to install the kit. On your defense their video was uploaded about 1 month after you uploaded this video :)
Yes, I was going to say the same thing when I saw the little plastic nipple fall out, it has to be in the middle under the membrane. I'm not sure if it makes the feeling or actuation of the buttons any different or not. I just ordered mine so I'm waiting for them to come. I play stick but figured if I can make pad playable it'd be worth it to not have to lug a stick or have it on my lap if I just want to do something quick in the lab or something.
I tried modding my dpad the same way by breaking apart the down direction from the main dpad😎😅. Qcf, Wavedash and kbd became harder😑😔 becoz on the regular dpad its all one combined piece that moved together. Pressing down automatically depressed the forward making an easy transition for qcf. But on the modded dpad, since the back forward and down are separated... I always had a rough movement😖😖 going from down to forward in the qcf movement. I always hit a step (raised forward) like a small bump going from down to forward(since forward isnt depressed) which made it really awkward. Wavedashes, Giant swings hcfs, qcfs never felt so good or smooth😵. The main difference I noticed between your execution and mine is that you use the FLAT PART OF YOUR THUMB TO PLAY, while I use THE TIP OF THE THUMB🧐. Since, I use the Tip of the thumb, I always have a problem when transitioning from down to forward or down to back because of the raised back /forward. I think you wouldn't face this problem since you use the flat part of the thumb😑.
So let's say you use this controller on a game like street fighter and you go to do a hadouken, do you only have to press down + forward and the hadouke comes out? or is it a thing where you'll still have to go through the motion of down, down-forward & then forward for the QC Motion? Asking since I'm interested and I want to not invest and have it be the same on that regard.
Out of curiosity, may I ask why you're trying to wavedash with Nina? Your "Forward dash" as you call it, she doesn't have one and the notation for it would be f, n, d, df. The dashing you're doing with nina is only going to get you launched or maybe catch a random lucky low parry, it's not safe at all and standard tekken running would benefit you better.
I was giving a demonstration to show inputs. Yes, she does not have a wavedash. I backdash alot, so a forward dash helps me in covering lost neutral. Also I do use the regular run for mix ups.
Yea I agree. Furogu The buttons really helped with my movement !

Ah sadly they dont sell them anymore
Does the plastic feel simmilar to the default d-pad?
Yes it does! Very smooth. I can do KBD, and QCF cleanly .
Furogu No idea what that is, but thanks lol
@@looklook876 haha my bad.

It comes with the triggers mod

You still have to do the input? Lol.. All this does is make it so you don't get accidental inputs like you do on a pad.
Hii I just got my controller with the custom dpad but it feels sunken. Is this normal or is it something I can fix? Thnksss
i think i saw a v1 dualshock with dbutton not a dpad
Interesting video ill be looking into those buttons i play tekken as well and the new ps4 pad is too stiff
Yea I agree. The buttons really helped with my movement !
How do you not have more subscribrs?
lol no idea
nice review!
