Jin is such an amazing person, he took matters into his own hands and instead of waiting for the gov and department of defense to 'make a decision' as they stated they would do before Jins bday (imagine being the catalyst for such a thing), but Jin decided not to wait for anyone to decide on his fate and went on his own terms. There's a reason he's so beloved. The world calling him hearthrob and superstar and prince like all over global newstations, and lauding his decision as well as praising him and looking forward to his future, I'm excited for the album he's going to return to us with (as he stated he will return with music) as well as the winery brand he has now, the future merch we'll get, and the movies that korean hollywood and his idol Kim Nam Gil have clearly been hinting towards for a while. Jin will be back in just a little over a year, and a year flies by fast when you're focusing on self care and bettering yourself while they do the same, so when he returns it's going to be a blast. Jin is just too attractive both in body and spirit the more I realize as time passes, I love someone who is set on their goals and unapologetically who they are and unafraid, even if he has every right as he's human. Jin has said he prepared for enlistment after Dynamite came out and then the group found the timing was perfect to release Butter and Permission To Dance. Because those did so well they needed to do promotions, when those ended the group decided to hold a concert after which Jin would enlist. However he said they were scheduled for the Grammys and he held off again. This summer the agency told him to go ahead and start preparations for enlistment so he could enter around June. Then they were scheduled to do a concert for promotions for the World Expo in Busan. He had to choose between going ahead and enlisting as he planned or doing one last concert for ARMY and enlist in winter. So he put off telling ARMY he was enlisting so that the concert in October wouldn't be a sad concert.

Oh I assure you that the reason they didn’t cry was because had they shed even a single tear, they wouldn’t be able to stop. Some articles even said that they had a massive group hug during the ceremony but none of them would let go afterwards. Jungkook was silent the entire time because Jin raised him for the majority of his life. When they were all watching Jin line up, you can see some of the members have really watery eyes. They’ve lived and been together for so long so I’m sure they cried but just didn’t want to show ARMY to upset us even more. Not having Jin till June of 2024 really hurts honestly and we’re going to have to go through this ceremony 6 more times 😢

Because of this, a whole brigade of guards and an ambulance was even sent to Tula that day. but to everyone's surprise there were only 2-3 army and a lot of reporters who came to film a huge crowd of fans 😂. So yes… I am very proud that the army treated Jin and the families (who come to see off) the other recruits with respect.

idk if yall know more about the context but ive been a fan since 2016 and literally from 2018 the government and officials have been making their military exemption a political issue when it didnt need to be. there are idols who are barely a year younger than jin who still havent gone to the military but jin has been getting cursed at by so many in the public since 4 years ago just because their enlistment was turned into a way to grab headlines. and the government had announced that they would make a decision in a few months, which we all knew was either a way to grab more headlines or a way to figure out how to make more money off of their enlistment. which is why it was SUCH a proud moment for me when the boys announced that they are going to go to the military on their own without waiting anymore for the govt's decision. they decided to take their narrative into their own hands and im so proud. its sad, its so SO sad that they have to do this and had to suffer for so long, but i will always support them and things like this just strengthen my love for them.

I had very mixed feelings watching this...part of me believes they deserved that exemption cuz they've contributed so much to their home country and brought so much pride for it throughout their career, but another part of me agrees that they should go serve because its a right of passage for every Korean man. One of my friends spent a couple months in SK for work and she mentioned that its such a basic conversation starter between two men, so I do think in some ways they shouldn't miss out on this very normal experience (considering how many small trivial experiences they dont get to have anymore). I just hope things go well and they stay safe and healthy through their service. 💜
They feel like family to us, so it does feel like sending a family member off. We have to do this 6 more times. Suga is oldest after Jin and I think he s next getting his solo album out, probably 1st trimester 2023. BTS all looked very emotional. Jin is their older hyung and very caring. jin will be training at the frontline for 6 weeks then he will get stationed at the north Korean border which is the coldest part of south Korea where jin will be deployed. jin got the worst place at the worst time because the temperature goes down to -17 to -25 celsius. jin wanted to go during summer but members convinced to delay. suga will be a public server; he will do office duty and not become an active solider due to his shoulder injury other member can go whenever they want so I'm assuming they will go during summer time because it gets brutal during winters.
Let's not say for sure what will happen with Suga's service until he or Bighit confirms it. If he does do public service it's understandable, but nothing is confirmed yet.
to add salt to the wound, im reminding everyone here that BTS are together for more than 10 years since Jungkook was 15 years old back then, and they were never been separated for to each other for a longest period of time, this is gonna be the first time they'll be separated as a team much longer for 2 years. They promised to be back together as a group in year 2025. 🤧
I've been watching this same thing happen to male groups for almost 15 years now. I hope BTS will be the exception because I've never seen one group get completely back together and have the same success as before the military. Again, I really do hope that BTS is the exception because they are exceptional!! I'm sad and very angry at the Korean government right now. I think anyone who needs added police, military and private security to enter a military installation , as shown in other videos, should be exempt from service. They will all go soon too but not in the same place they are all going to different parts of the military. It's more than likely Suga will be next because he turns 30 in March. But maybe Suga, RM, and J-Hope will enlist around the same time. Also because of Suga's shoulder injury he may have to do public service instead which is 21 months as opposed to 18 months.

I had very mixed feelings watching this...part of me believes they deserved that exemption cuz they've contributed so much to their home country and brought so much pride for it throughout their career, but another part of me agrees that they should go serve because its a right of passage for every Korean man. One of my friends spent a couple months in SK for work and she mentioned that its such a basic conversation starter between two men, so I do think in some ways they shouldn't miss out on this very normal experience (considering how many small trivial experiences they dont get to have anymore). I just hope things go well and they stay safe and healthy through their service. 💜

They feel like family to us, so it does feel like sending a family member off. We have to do this 6 more times. Suga is oldest after Jin and I think he s next getting his solo album out, probably 1st trimester 2023. BTS all looked very emotional. Jin is their older hyung and very caring. jin will be training at the frontline for 6 weeks then he will get stationed at the north Korean border which is the coldest part of south Korea where jin will be deployed.
jin got the worst place at the worst time because the temperature goes down to -17 to -25 celsius.
jin wanted to go during summer but members convinced to delay.
suga will be a public server; he will do office duty and not become an active solider due to his shoulder injury
other member can go whenever they want so I'm assuming they will go during summer time because it gets brutal during winters.
Let's not say for sure what will happen with Suga's service until he or Bighit confirms it. If he does do public service it's understandable, but nothing is confirmed yet.

to add salt to the wound, im reminding everyone here that BTS are together for more than 10 years since Jungkook was 15 years old back then, and they were never been separated for to each other for a longest period of time, this is gonna be the first time they'll be separated as a team much longer for 2 years. I've been watching this same thing happen to male groups for almost 15 years now. I hope BTS will be the exception because I've never seen one group get completely back together and have the same success as before the military. Again, I really do hope that BTS is the exception because they are exceptional!! I'm sad and very angry at the Korean government right now. I think anyone who needs added police, military and private security to enter a military installation , as shown in other videos, should be exempt from service. BTS has done more than enough for Korea and have been used and abused by their own government. They were assigned Ambassadors and then send Jin to the front lines. SMDH. They better be kept safe from haters while enlisted, including superiors!! They've had plenty of death threats and are still getting them. This whole thing is just WRONG. ARMY grandma

They will all go soon too but not in the same place they are all going to different parts of the military. Its sad because they have been together for almost 10 years and now they have to separate for a bit. It's sadder for jungkook because he was their with them since he was 15 and now he has to send all of them one by one since he is the youngest so he will leave last. I hope you guys keep reacting to their music videos and episodes of their snows because there is a tone of content they have made.
