When old folks leave the work force and move into apartments, condos and the like and have no hobbies or activities then look out their window and look for something. Why do you assume he gets subsidised for council tax, is it because he cant speak English well? I can tell you plenty of English people on my estate get "subsidised". You would think them being born here would mean they could have done better for themselves.
This is the first time I've even heard of narrow boats. Roughly what are the dimensions of that thing? 'm in the US, Midwest no less, not very much more than a smattering of lakes and rivers. But I wanted to point out what a PRO job you did sticking that boat in that spot. Singlehandedly! Well done! I love to sit at our docks and watch the folks putting their 24 foot pontoon boats in their slips. THAT'S entertainment!
The dimensions of my boat are 50 foot long by 6 foot 10 inches wide. They have no real steering in reverse, and it took me a while to get a feel for how it handles. I still make the odd mistake!
the canals and the narrowboats were here before any flats and foreigners.

Loved it mate thnx.
Thank you!
Unfortunately there are idiots no matter where you live. Lovely vlog as usual.
Thanks Thomas, I'm afraid you're right mate!
Least you can move 😂
@@jons6125 A Blessing!
Its like a disease these days .Its way worse than CV
Hi Vince I still enjoyed your video. Its good to see the other side of boating, helpful for anyone thinking of doing the same, so they don't think its all rosy. I am sorry you had someone being awkward but glad you are keeping positive. Thanks for your vlog. Looking forward to the next one. Keep looking up XXX
And forward of course or you could crash 🤪😂
Not one of my favourite videos, but i've always been a positive person, and I have learned to turn the other cheek (when possible) xxx
Well said mate
Sounds like jealousy!!
Jealous that you are obviously happy 😊
Jealous that he doesn't own a beautiful boat like Aitch.
Jealous that he doesn't have anything better to do, like you do... cruise and chill.
Keep em coming... even walking around towns and showing the history of England is fascinating!!!
So have you been identifying birds and their songs?
I will learn more about birdsong as I go. And I love the history of some of these places, which I do, and will show more of, when we get out of this lockdown situation! Don't know how many of the vlogs that you have watched, hope you enjoy them, Vince!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle I have watched them all, some twice!! The history, the scenery and your sense of humor are perfect!!!
@@rwisti11301962 Thank you, that's high praise indeed! Hope the next lot of vlogs can do your comment justice. Oh, and its not just the US, I think the worlds gone a bit mad!
@@NarrowboatCruisingLifestyle most of my life I have dreamed of visiting England... thanks to Benny Hill and Monty Python, but this last year when I started watching Narrowboating channels, I never knew about the canal systems throughout your gorgeous country. It is so fascinating!!!
Someday I hope to see them and slow down.... 3 mph... :)
@@rwisti11301962 Never give up on your dreams, its what keeps us going! If you can dream it, you can do it!!!
Nice to hear from you again hope your friend has paid his council tax you have paid yours he probably gets subsidised though keep going Vince you are one of the breaths of fresh air to us all stay safe
I will keep going Peter, thanks for the encouraging words!
Why do you assume he gets subsidised for council tax, is it because he cant speak English well? I can tell you plenty of English people on my estate get "subsidised". You would think them being born here would mean they could have done better for themselves.
I have just watched all your videos. I love them. You are unpretentious and calming.
Thank you Stephanie, high praise indeed!
I totally agree
Beginning to think I should have kept my narrow boat since we're now looking forward to £6000 a year fuel bills.
We are living in strange times Tom!
Thank you for sharing your story mate 🙏
No worries!
