Going into the stream, I can use the controller to start a game, but then I lose the ability to control the game, the controller doesn’t appear to do anything
Your xbox has to be in sleep mode. For any remote play to work. So make sure to check out your power settings and make sure it's not turning off all the way.
I can't get Greenlight to launch from Steam itself when added to library, but can launch from the app in desktop itself. Annoying cause I followed every tutorial to a tee
If your setup in the same network or the same router, you should be fine. However, I haven't tried from different areas. Keep in mind you need a solid internet connection for cloud gaming.

Not sure what you mean. Should work with any game as long as your in game mode and not desktop mode

I've had this happen with COD a few times, usually just restarting everything sorts it out

I believe it's called XB Play. They both stream fine, the paid one just has a few QOL features
