I loved this book. As some who has OCD and has struggled with Anorexia, this book is really accurate. I can help a lot of teens to be informed about these topics

i dont think students know about icarly MAYBE some 11-12 graders saw sam and cat, they were like 5 when the show aired 😭
now that i’m thinking about it we didnt read any memoirs in HS (i do remember we read frederick douglas and maya angealou in 8th) id imagine the curriculum lends itself to fiction classics more readily. Id worry in the writing portion that many students would see it as a personal narrative assignment when thats not exactly what you’re getting at. if you’re teaching 11-12 just teach to the test for their sakes but 9-10, i think 9 is too young, 10 might work, 10 semester 2. I cant put my finger why id be hesitant to teach this book myself

@@VeriCheri that’s so crazy! A lot of my students have heard of it but were too young to watch them when they aired. I have a lot who saw nicky ricky dicky and dawn and the loud house. I have so many who havent seen classic disney either, they know Moana but not like Cinderella
