I know a friend who's being exploited with only 4k/month as he's "just starting". It's good that he landed a part-time job without any interns due to connections but that just seems like abuse.

the bare minimum salary stated by the government which is 17k range, is actually not even followed by so many organizations. I know places where the total salary is only 14k!!! and the workers there do not complain anywhere because simply, they don't know better or they're afraid they might even lose that job. This is soo deeply frustrating.

I'm an average 22 year old guy who quit my college and Bachelors to pursue my career in IT sector. I make anywhere between 110K - 130K a month stably with minimum of Rs. 100k month. But still, its really not enough surviving alone by myself in a place like Kathmandu. When your income increases, the standard of living and your expenses also equally increases. The food you eat, your travel expense, the clothes you wear, and the gadgets, they all have a correlation with your income. So I would like to tell my fellow mates that do not worry about increasing your income too much. Because at the end of the day, its not an Income Problem, its an Expense Problem. No matter how much you produce, if your consumption as a consumer is high, it will always never be enough. Focus on reducing consumption and not try to keep up with the Joneses.

I don't completely agree with your points. I disagree with you on some things. Especially the numbers you mentioned. The salary of an average Nepali is 18 thousand 19 thousand in the current scenario. But if we talk only about Kathmandu here, there are too many people who work between 12,000 and 15,000 in Kathmandu even at the present time. But if you go to a public place and talk to random people and ask people who work in government, private sector, higher positions, educated people sitting inside offices and using keyboards, and shop factory workers, wage laborers, it would be fine.

We need agricultural modernization, Nepal has many resources for agriculture, water source for irrigation, water source for energy. People of Nepal do more agriculture because they have to invest less. Our weakness is that we do traditional farming, give more priority to food crops, unequal distribution of land 20% people own 80% land and 80% people own 20% land, less weak more There is an organized market, India's market influence. We have to choose the market to modernize agriculture, use high yielding seeds and fertilizers, provide training in agriculture, create storage centers, arrange transportation, reduce prices, in production. The quality should be evaluated etc.

Interesting but interpreting these numbers from statistics is not that easy. Most likely, there may be a non-linear relationship between the population parameter and individual values.. if one person wants Rs10000 (which is an average value). Addition of one family member does not always require Rs20,000 in total instead,the family may only require between Rs. 14000 and Rs. 16000 due to shared utilities such as rent, electricity, internet, gas for cooking, etc. Things are not as scary as they look like, right?

That amount for your experience is severely underpaid. I made that in an IT company as a fresher. So you should look for other opportunities. Minimum 60k hunu parne ho for the experience you have in IT.
