Henya bringing back all the rage/suffering us 90s kids playing this game endured at times. Arguably though still easier to beat than the NES iterations but still with it's sections of difficulty. The thing about ghost houses though is there are often multiple exits if you want to unlock secret levels/paths. Still impressed how Henya plays the game as it was originally played without resorting to multiple save states/rewinds. Adds so much more to the experience rather than cheating it and I respect that.

I remember how we'd spend hundreds of hours dying or investigating every corner of it, and that's how we'd eventually get any good at it. She managed to go this far in just one sitting, and kept her good spirits a lot better throughout than any kid I could think of. Even through the VTube model you can tell the stream was exhausting. This was great.
I'm disappointed nobody reminded Henya that she could throw shells and blocks up and kill the cloud like that at the Forest of Illusion, I'm at 3:33:49 and dreading the moment she passes the level and finds out it's not even the right path to the next island, but instead is detouring to the Star Road xD
How come no Japanese people refer to the Fire Flower as 火花 (Hibana)? The literal translation of 火花 is fire flower, but every Japanese speaking person I've watched play a mario game with a fire flower refers to it as ファイア (faia) instead. Anyone know what's up with that?

Kids back in the day don't have a lot to play so they take their time with games like this, and they learn all the tricks from doing so, but they also don't count their deaths 😄 If you haven't already, try using the dpad to play, it's probably more precise and easier to adjust, games didn't use analogue stick back then.
