The 2010 RB6 wheel appeared smaller since the shift lights and LED gear indicator were mounted on the cockpit sill (just below the tiny windscreen on the nosecone). The McLaren wheel includes these elements, so it appears bulkier on the upper half.
Yeah exactly, they are so experienced I'm sure they don't really need the shift lights. The Redbull wheel is really clever as the driver is so low down in the car I bet they can see like 20% more of the track than everyone else due to that unique shape, looks comfortable to hold too.
