I’ve become rather fond of this rejuvenated brand, and I think after the Cricket, this is my favorite release of theirs so far. Simple, elegant and classy. Wish it were 37/38mm rather than 39mm though, but that’s a minor gripe.

Nice understated watch. Is Vulcain a resurrected brand? Maybe the reason Vulcain was the watch of Presidents is because it was the Timex of its day -- the everyman watch everyone could afford.
If I am not mistaken it looks like a reissue of Timex Marlin for 1/10th of the price
10x the price maybe.
Thing about Vulcain is that its a one time budget brand thats been priced like an Omega or somthing, people would pay micro brand prices for this maybe but the price point makes it risible....

Very nice but I wish it was smaller. 35 or 36 mm would have been perfect.
The recipe is simple.
1) You call yourself an entrepreneur.
2) you buy the rights to an old and decaying watch brand (Anordain, Vulcain, Universal Geneva, whatever).
3) You don't have to employ a designer. No you reuse the brand's old designs.
4) you just step into one of the literally dozens of watch factories in China and pick one that made the best prototype.
Ét voilà, final step is to contact youtubers once production is ready to start and promise them a free watch.
You forgot one, put a ridiculously high price on them and make them seem more premium than they are.

The watch is nice but feels very overpriced. A stowa with SW200 and pretty much same specs can be bought for 850euro, over 30% less cost.
Stowa is a fantastic brand with a current track record. Great alternative.

Vulcain is a historic name in Swiss watch making. However, this company's history is not contiguous. These are obscenely over priced as are all modern Vulcain.
I'm not saying these are not nice looking watches. Because they're all direct copies from the old catalog, they are in fact, beautiful watches. But for the price they're charging you can buy a watch from a brand with actual uninterrupted history.

Vulcain is not underrated. It’s the darling of watch magazines and RUclips reviewers. It’s overpriced, using a movement from a revived manufacturer with no current track record to speak of in this model. That Vulcain didn’t use a Sellita, Soprod or LJP in the Grand Prix makes me skeptical. I would rather take the risk for $700 and buy the Yema Urban Classic or better yet, a bambino.

This Vulcain is not that Vulcain of old. They are a homage to that Vulcain with the name bought but the history does not belong to the present owners.

It is a nice watch, but there is just not a lot of detail to look at, the hands and indices are very plain from a distance. I find it pretty overpriced for the movement and materials, sorry.
