The Song which He is reworked is the Russian popular Song "The Red Sarafan". A Sarafan is an old Russian Wedding Dress for the bride, I think. I know this song. It is from the 19th century and there is a German Text to it. My mother Sung it once when I played it during practizing on the violin.
