I have a “cheapo” idea for those of you who are interested. Get three ziplock bags, size can be sandwich or bigger depending on your yarn balls, cut across one of the corners to form a small hole. Place your yarn ball into the bag and stick the working end through the hole. Zip up the bag. This will help keep your yarn balls clean and help from them running away! It’s a “cheapo” idea because most people have, or can get from someone else, three ziplock sandwich bags. It’s not as pretty as a yarn bowl, but it’s great for traveling and practical!! I hope this helps someone! 💜
I like to make baskets using this technique. I roll my scraps into a ball to keep them from tangling. I have been known to make 5-6 row granny's and keep them in a bin. Thanks for sharing.
This is a best of both worlds. im hooked on granny squares but want to do a stash buster. All the stash busters on here are worked in HDC in a row. this is a nice mash up. thank you
I started my scrap blanket on Christmas. I'm holding 3 strands together and using a big hook. I did my extended half double crochet. Thank you for the video
I love a solid granny using scrap with a double crochet stitch. I like this idea too and would probably make one if wasn't doing a granny square blanket already.
I've started my blanket, after watching this video. Never done one before so I am looking forward to seeing how it works out. I've got so much spare wool that is now going to be put to good use at last. I am going to join your Instagram and post a picture of my first lots of rows. Thanks for your great videos.
I did that wasn't finished my grandaughter took it lol says it was so thick and warm just went thru my stash didn't realize I already got a bin full so making some pom poms and curly q's and then I will do it again that will be fun to do again
Well this sure has been addictive. I had to make myself get up to eat and drink because I didn’t want to stop. It got big fast and burned up a LOT of yarn. I am surprised how lots of different colors end up looking good together in the finished project. Now, time to start #2…
Just a quick question…….HOW BIG DO YOU NORMALLY MAKE THESE? I started one and was going to donate it, but not sure where to stop. Thanks. It’s a great, fun project
I always do half double crochet for a scrappy. Definitely doing this next. Will be faster and use a lot of yarn quick. I also never mixed weights for washing purposes. With different weights do you need to lay flat to dry?

Thank you so much for this video. It's right on time because I am swamped in yarn. My place looks like an episode of hoarders without the dirt 😂
Santa brought me a new yarn cabinet I still have all my single skeins in a box beside it!

Yay!!! Super fun and a great use of yarn that deserves a second chance 😊
I've done these a few times and love them. I usually roll my scraps into balls so they don't get all tangled up. Love this.
Thanks Jennifer. I'm all about the granny this year. Thank you thank you

I usually like to do 3ft wide 6ft tall but I prefer afghans vs lapghans depends on you ❤
I'm here
What do you do when you get to the bulky yarn? Do you use one strand or 2
*HEY, I'm the first one here!!!*
What do you suggest if due to arthritis, you can't use that many strands at one time? Super bulky yarn is about the most I can crochet with.
I usually just hold 2 stands and use an 8 or 9 mm hook. I do however only use worsted weight yarn.

Abla çok güzel anlatmışsın ama anlamadım 😂😂 ellerine sağlık bacım..Ne oldu bu bitince 🙃

Nice but 3-4 strands together is a waste...
