This interview has me conflicted. I think Nard's style just didn't mesh with Cudi as a person and the fact he kept bringing up his uncle that passed probably rubbed him the wrong way. He said he needed to go way before his uncle got brought up, and he was checking his phone a bunch, so something else outside of the interview must’ve been happening. He checks his phone at one point, then immediately after finishing answering the question tells him he needs to go. Then even answers a few more after before realizing he needed to leave again. From a completely unbiased standpoint here (not a fan of Kid Cudi), I'd just like to say that I don't think he's being rude at all. I don't think this was as bad as people are making it out to be. Cudi clearly wasn't super familiar with Nardwuars FBI style, was going through some gnarly addictions/mental health battles, and then at the end of the interview, was low key blind sided with a bunch of stuff about his uncle that he seemed to be still in the process of grieving. Damon Albarn of the Gorillaz (or blur, in the interview) REALLY disprespected Nardwuar. This was nothing.
