The spot gold price blew through $2,430 oz intraday today with a large selloff to follow cutting over $80 oz in price before the week's trading finished. The spot gold price finished higher overall on the week at $2,350 oz ask.
The spot silver price briefly threatened $30 oz today only to have a similar sell-off to finish the week slightly up near the key $28 oz price level.
The spot gold-silver ratio fell slightly to finish just below 84 on the week.

Yes i like them, and i thank you for calling out CBS and that doofus from Duke University who pushes ETFs, calls buying gold "complicated," and says that holding physical gold is "risky." CBS is so corrupt. By the way, i would prefer shorter (10 minute) videos. I watch precious metal news in the morning with coffee and in the evening before bed.

The FED GOV is trying hard to restrain the gold price. At 3pm New York time last Thursday there was a US$1.6bn sale of gold futures in about three minutes which temporarily knocked the bullion spot price. I believe we’ll find the same thing happened again today as gold dropped $90 after a sharp decline from the top at $2,430.
Of course they smashed the price. The silver chart was even worse. A two dollar price swing is max vol. FIAT Currency is dying 🙏🙏
There is more than 1.6 billion being spent. I am sure more than one insitution has maxed out their short position.
Thanks for this information, I knew something dramatic happened yesterday but didn’t know what. Silver in £ up 5% then down 5% in the same day, must be unique, the last throw of a desperate and dying fiat regime. Great time to buy the dip!

@@josephpurdy8390 they don’t necessarily have to “undo their shorts.” If they manage to induce a sell panic, as it appears they are doing, they are selling their large position near the top, then when the price craters, they can buy back smaller positions at reduced price over time. Their success depends mostly upon how quickly the market recovers, but that is generally way slower than the dump.

As disciplined as I have been in the past several years of not spending my fiat on unnecessary things, and accumulating precious metals, I couldn’t fathom ever having my weight up to the point of equaling just one of those gold bricks at the beginning of this video. James, I would love to see you address the following statement that is constantly broadcast:
“Ownership of ETF precious metals funds have been falling, while the precious metals have been rising in price.”
It is my position that holders of ETFs have been converting their shares into physical metal, and thus the open interest in shares declines.
With GLD and SLV, you need to be an “authorized participant.” Those are the big banks.
With Sprott PSLV, you only need to own 10,000 equivalent ounces to take physical delivery. Side note: they will only deliver to a commercial address (not your house).
It’s my belief that the declining interest in shares on these ETFs are people (and central banks) taking delivery.

You are likely correct on the Western institutional side and amongst HNW Family Offices. They like Central Banks are front-running the bullion trade and likely using APs of the ETF slush funds as a conduit to do so for them in real size.

Seems like you should have made that clear. Is it possible that APMEX weight this and only charged for the actual weight? Listeners would like a follow-up on that. Thanks
I believe it's Pioneer that screwed up. If you look at the bar on the scale, it weighs the same in grams as 5 AVDP ozs......meaning that when it was manufactured, Pioneer's scales were erroneously set to AVDP and not Troy.
This would have been fine if the bars were copper, which are one of the few metals that are weighed in the AVDP system.
Seems someone doing the minting didn't know what they were doing. It also calls into question everything they have ever minted given such incompetence, therefore.
