Looks like a full sheet of 5/8" ( possibly 3/4") plywood on top (96" x 48")and the sides look approx. 18" high. I would recommend 2 x 4 for the frame especially on the floor joists because there can be a potential 1000 LBS on the platform not to mention the G forces from jumping. Megan Wilton with Austin Performance Volleyball (and ex-rookie of the year @ West Point ) wanted me to advise her on the dimensions to build this for the team she's coaching. Last note...use "construction screw" this hardware is more suited flexing under loads. Happy coaching ...Phill
