Yeah, that place is EXPENSIVE. When I lived in Quito (did my own cooking most of the time) I shopped in the small stores and out on the street and saved a lot. Less plastic packaging too. But the Argentine steak place in 'gringo-landia' (la marsical) was great every other week. I lived up on the hill near Congresso ('casa le crimiales)..heh heh..
