- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today Kosmo and I finally decided to spend some time farming the high tier crops to get the advanced spudguns! Neither of us have ever used these in survival and we thought after a few hundred hours or so playing the game we should probably have them! @darealkosmo

Kan, some glue is made from horses, however they only use wounded/dying horses to make the glue, they use tendons, bone, and hooves.

@@highstreetanimations2006 While this is true, its also inhumane, my grandpa was a butcher, and back then when horses broke legs, or were unable to run in races, they were sent to the slaughter house, He'd take out all of the good meat and make Salami with it, and leave the bones and tendons, along with the hooves to make glue.

generally it looked great however the hotbar, inventory, pretty much any gui looked horrible but theres not really any way around that

@@AnUnfortunatePotato A lot more, honestly. You need to have the resources to get those mounted spudguns, AND the spuds to keep firing them. You can have rotating arms which to fling the bots into pillars which to crush them, and you only need an engine or a high-level controller.
Some surgical glue is actually made with something from some type of mollusc I remember seeing a video once, it's a glue that can be used on wet surfaces such as inside the body

To make the top shelf chests in the seed silo look better, try placing a single bag of the same type of seeds as the chest right besides it. That way you can use them as an indicator of the type of seeds being stored in that bunch, while also having the top shelves look a bit more centered.
Fertilizing high tier crops takes their 2 day growth cycle and cuts it to just barely under 1 day. I know this because I've done the planting, watering, and fertilizing right after "midnight" in game and I was harvesting around 11:30 that same evening. So just barely under. Really worth it in my opinion only because it allows you a small window to harvest them taking away any risk of tape bots tagging them into oblivion.

You should repair the wooden walkway above the farm by replacing just the holes with higher tier wood. That way the most shot at pieces of it will, over time, become the strongest parts of it.

It's crazy when you think about it, more than four hours recording, god knows how long editing, then rendering, uploading/processing.
All so we can be entertained for less than an hour.

They choose to use hours of their free time making amazing content for the entertainment of their fans and people who just watch their videos every so often, despite everything else they could be spending their time on. It’s the same with many other RUclipsrs, especially ones that play video games on their channel.
With regards to the brightness at night, I personally preferred the in-game brightness being increased, because then the HUD doesn't get strangely bright and have its details become fuzzy.

Collagen is the major protein in edible molluscs
So, yes, in theory you could make glue from clams.

You know what would be cool? A vacuum sorter part which would suck any items from one system that match a filter and send it through its output. This would be used in sorting systems.

If you have a problem seeing at night you should use some white headlights set to ten and pointed down at roughly 100 blocks in the air. It's what I do. I could even mine at night with the brighness set to -100.

Hey kan i might have a build idea, so if you played minecraft and know pillager outposts, there are iron golems that are trapped, you probably know where im going with this, but im thinking of a cage for farmbots. It would be funny to just get one trapped and then destroy it with the weapon. (I would recommend using high tier durability blocks.)
Probably too late for them to read it but there are plant based glues : some pine resins as well as Arabic Gum and Latex. Glue is basically any wet polymer or monomer solution for ease of application that then dries or hardens to hold stuff in place. Animal glue is disolved cartilage in hot water and can easily reactivated with warm water, it's mostly used in art conservation now
It all depends on the type of recording (analogue or digital) and the codices supported by your editor. With digital formats, the gamma data is recorded alongside RGB values, brightness, etc, so adjusting any of these can usually be done in post. If you'd turned down the gamma for the 1st night the topic was raised, then you might have been able to restore some of the 'bleed out' you had from adjusting it in-game, to achieve a look similar to that you had for the 2nd night - which, as the edit clearly shows, produced a better result (rich colour, brighter lighting). But you are absolutely correct - it only works during non-business hours as business hours are reserved on the cloud for MSM and Hollywood editors 🤣

If you hold E then you pick up stuff the same speed as holding mouse click, and you won’t pick up plots accidentally, very convenient for large harvests

The shotgun is the most efficient weapon per potato and in damage output per second. To kill a red farmbot:
- Spud Gun: 58 potatoes
- Spud Shotgun: 50 potatoes
- Spudling Gun: 80 potatoes
Also, raids are calculated for the night when "Unauthorized Farming Detected" appears. Anything you plant or harvest after that point won't affect the raid size.
I have a fuelcan (not container) placed on every vehicle and a stack of spuds placed next to every bed. you should do that too, it's a good habit
in post adjusting gamma does work but you are right there needs to be some pixel data stored so if it is a completly pitch black screen then no it wont give you anything it'll just make it gray instead of black. However if there is even the smallest amount of colour data then you can adjust gamma, brightness and contrast to get a viewable video from an incrediby dark video

Cyanoacrylate is just standard superglue off the top of my head, and yes when Nelly gets old and lame you did send her to the glue factory. Nowadays they just use horse corpses for dog meat and gelatine, but I think gelatine is used in glues somehow?

If your going to make a super truck make it a tiller truck kinda design. Like the trucks you have but able to have a trailer extension that is capable of having one of you steer it so that you can turn more easily
About the glue question: You know how Elmer's has a happy cow on the front? Yup.
You can use the shotgun to take down the ember trees. It's way faster (and more fun) than the hammer!

You should be able to grow corn. Another use for corn then would be a rocket launcher. You probably would need to mix the corn with explosives if it were to explode.
You should make a fertilizer crafter, just dump the extra seeds into it to get faster crops later

you can make platform in the middle of the field at high place so you can protect your base without from one place
Pineapples recover a ton of thirst. Burgers are arguably more efficient but it's nice to recover thirst when my hunger is still high without wasting them
Also redbot raids are fun, and it feels like a lil flex for being at "endgame"

The three wide line of darker soil plots are just the shadow of the other rail of the waterer to the far left of the farm, looking from the base's elevator.
Hey kan, have you ever looked into changing the actual light values for nighttime in the game files? It's really easy to do, and while it can be considered cheaty, if you're already changing your gamma and everything, this would be a much better approach for both you and us.
Open the survival_constants.lua file in "Scrap Mechanic\Survival\Scripts\game" with notepad or something and search for the line with the DAYLIGHT_LIGHTING_VALUES property. Replace that entire line with this:
DAYCYCLE_LIGHTING_VALUES = { 0.1, 0.2, 0.5, 0.5, 0.2, 0.1 }
This just changes how "dark" nighttime actually gets and should be a whole lot more bearable to look at. You can change the values to change how dark it actually gets (nighttime normally is 0 for reference).
If you plant the high tier crops right after midnight and fertilize them directly after, they only take one night to grow, not two.
The nice thing about modern elevators, is the redundant safety systems.
Natural glues are made of everything from animal parts, as in rabbit-skin glue and horse glue, to milk proteins, serum albumin from animal blood, vegetable starch, natural gums like agar and gum arabic, and natural rubber latex.
With the bass defence, ive just used a wall of saw blades spinning linked to a maxed controller. It's expensive but hay and tot bots can't break the defence wall or even damage it
kAN, I know this doesn't answer your question about what glue is made of, but I felt like this was an interesting fact that was still relatable and I wanted to share it.

Maybe you could build a scarp metal farm outside your home so in doesn't lag. Just a mini farm with a lot of defences an you go there just to do the raid and collect the scrap metal components, etc.

They need to add a furnace to smelt higher metals, and wood placed in them will either get consumed or come out as charred wood.
Kan, you can up your gamma post shoot. but to make up for the bleeding you have to play with the saturation. Try this if you want just thought I'd share what I know
Elmer's glue is not made from horses today. It used to be made from horses but today they are made from synthetic materials. The ingredient mix is secret but they have specifically stated that they do not use animal collagen anymore.
Before attempting to carry 200 crates try to update your trucks. More axles are must in irregular terrain. 4 is enough.

I think doing the brightness it in post looks much better than in game the hotbar does look a bit funky but that really doesn't matter

The seed room you could take the top offset chest move it to the side and put a seed bag up there and paint the chest that color so you know what is what just a thought

Actually, to brighten up the video correctly...you first have to summon the "GOD OF EDITING" then you have to sacrificed one of your friend, presumably kosmo on the full moon, then you have to go to the editing software, spin around 666 times until you saw the devil afterward revive the person that you had sacrificed why, so that you can make another video with him duhh, repeat every single recording so that you can brighten the video.

Easy, first you must draw a circle around your body, then you have to say this word "£€¢÷¶°"
If you finish saying that word, then you can summon him by putting your precious item in the middle of the circle and spin 420°.

there is one critical issue with a base defense made entirely of water: only the haybots are stunned by it. the greenies and farmbots just don't care
@Kan maybe put the box to the one side an place the seed bag on the other being it wont fit in the middle on the top shelf of the seed bunker for the organization
