Thanks for the informative videos everyday. Keep'em coming. Also a very happy new year.
Thanks Jay for another great Video. Just bought your new Book. Can't wait to work with it. Cheers from Switzerland!
Great video. I pre-ordered your "Mastering Ubuntu Servers," 3rd ed., and it came in a couple days ago. Looking forward to diving into it. Thanks so much for your awesome content.
I just picked up your book on Amazon. Once I have a bit of time with it, I'll be happy to write a review.
Thanks for this great video on Landscape. Well explained and demonstrated. I'm going to set up my free 10 (now 5) home licenses and this video should be all I need to become proficient with Landscape.
Great video. You make it look easy. I will try Landscape soon. Thank you.
What a perfect explanation , thats really nice .
Great video. Thanks for alll the detail. Will Landscape work with Pop-Os?
Thanks for the tutorial. I'm going to set this up in our dev environment of VMs (on proxmox)
A couple suggestions.
Demo the product before the install tutorial. We don't get to see what it does until 21:00
ALWAYS call the clients "clients" and the server "server" -- much less confusing that way.
Nice, but when are they going to add preseed/provisioning?
All that effort to hide your email address, and then firefox offers to save your password and shows it anyway. :/
So, I am extremely curious. What distro do you run as your daily driver for your desktop? Do you primarily run Ubuntu on your server environment as well ?
Pop!_OS for desktops/laptops, Ubuntu LTS for servers.
nice... think I'll stick with webmin, it works well enough. I still use CLI, but the owner likes to look in on things to make herself feel useful, I guess.
Is there a way you can make a tutorial on how to make an appimage ? Please
Hello, I am confused between netdata, zabbix and Landscape to monitor my servers, some advice! Thank you.
My understanding is that Netdata is for graphing, Zabbix is for alerting, and Landscape aims to be more of an "all-in-one" kind of thing (but specific to Ubuntu, whereas the others are cross-distro). There's probably feature overlap in all three of those, but that's the way I think of it.
@@LearnLinuxTV thank you, Jay for this details i'm a system administrator i want monitor my servers (Ubuntu) like usage disk, RAM, services... so i will use Landscape more easy than zabbix i think, for the alerts, i created a script that uses (SendEmail) and your videos on sendemail helped me to do it also i added an SMS alerts.
Thank you again Jay.
Thanks for the video. It's rather odd how difficult it is to get landscape client setup with a certificate. You'd think the setup app could prompt you to accept the cert. I have a small landscape server at work mostly as POC and one at home. Once it's setup, it just plugs along happily.
I completely agree, I'm not sure why that's not made to be easier than it is.
Hi, thanks for this tutorial. I was wondering, is Landscape free if you are installing on prem or is it a subscription based server management tool
Free for 10 clients
Is there a way to do this without a GUI?
Would you ever do a MaaS video?
you like Arch linux too
Please make a video on setting up kde neon 🙏
Mr. LaCroix your book Mastering Ubuntu Server: Gain expertise in the art of deploying, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Ubuntu Server, 3rd Edition 3rd ed. Edition can we speak about price options?
Haha if you cant set hostnames or domains on your server, maybe “Landscape” isn’t right for you 😁
