    I have been driving a Honda X11 (built in 1999) since 2001. That means she will be 25 years old this September! It was and still is my dream motorcycle to this day. What Honda built in 1999 doesn't have to hide from modern motorcycles today. It has enough power in all situations and I will ride it until it falls apart. And what you shouldn't forget: With a top speed of 251 km/h, it is still the fastest naked bike that Honda has ever built! In any case, the fun you had during the trip cannot be ignored. With this in mind, dear biker greetings from Germany. 🏍

    Just stumbled upon your vid Vinnie.....just picked my X11 from the local bike shop having had a full service. Have had two in the past and been 11 years without one 🥴 so..picked up one couple of months back ..a 2001 so 22 years old .ONE owner from new ! and wait for this .under 3500 miles on the clock !!! The guy was scared of it !! A few cosmetic bits to be done but have now remembered why my arms are an inch longer than they were 20 years ago before buying my first one !! Really hope you keep it, listening to the excitement in your voice is infectious ! Great roads you have there as good as we have in South West Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 will be interesting to see how it transforms 👍 good luck also with the house..ride safe pal 😎

    Hi Vinnie. I can feel your excitement at riding the X11. I had one new in 2001, had a Buell previously. It was like going from piloting a Spitfire and then getting into a jet fighter. So smooth, you could trickle through traffic without being noticed, hit the open road open the throttle and whoooaaa! You know you're travelling when you're up around 160mph with no fairing going 90mph faster than other traffic on the motorway.*
    I did a lot of two-up touring through everything the UK weather could throw at me and knew the bike would get me home, even if I was shutting down with hypothermia.
    I'm pleased yours has got the stock exhausts, I loved the stealthiness they gave when getting a bit frisky. They're still pretty rare in the UK, yet aren't silly money.
    You'll have a ball on your X11, just don't drop it, I speak from experience. 😂👍
    * Theoretically, obviously.😊

    Had x11 for 20 years.., it still does it for me. Staight through xhaust K and N and a set of drag bars. Take off the air recirc valve just link the tube if you can't get blanking plates which stops the hunting and snatchy throttle, upgrade the clutch plates ebc etc which it eats...also need O2 eliminator ( just a diode will do it) for full power and hold on😝 .I can hold my own against most new bikes...like you say its not got top end at 165mph on the clock a bit unstable at that speed believe me.....with risers and drag bar's.... But it's excelleration for me not top end .I think it was the fastest 0-100 mph bike untill the hyabussa, also because of 5 speed box it will out do the blackbird..hold on tight it will pull your arms off. Cons front end too soft but you can upgrade thicker oil and cb1300 top caps fit for adjustment!( Or washers) top tip 42psi on both wheels. Still love my X11 .( The Beast ) Black ones are faster lol
