Im the player from the replay, I read some comments saying that I was supposed to ram that Yamato for extra damage, but for two things I didnt do it.
First: because of all the adrenaline I didnt know how much damage I have dealt and second I had hope I could win that match until the last sec, a lucky detonation on that Montana maybe? and then it wouldnt be an issue brawling a Yamato right after since EM bug was fixed and his turrets are REALLY slow.
in fact nice dmg - but i would be burned out in the early 7 min - this lion did not set a fire in three salvos - never happend when i play this ship
@@MrMATWORK I dont know man... that Lion was a total potato... if he was kiting it would be a smarter move, so i have a feeling he put IFHE on his BB

You had a few misplays throughout. You should have moved north towards the Lion and not east when the Izumo pushed out after capping. You didn't look for the crossfire opportunity and your team suffered from the extended length of time you and Izumo spent trying to kill a nose in Lion. A faster Lion kill could have translated to a faster DM, Tirpitz and Yoshino kill. You also made the mistake of pushing too far east and trapping yourself north of the island and closing distance to Tirpitz and Yoshino torp threats. You were lucky Yoshi and Tirpitz didn't get accurate torp salvos off against you. Perhaps that near 20k HP you could have saved from the Yoshi torp would have given you the opportunity to do more during the brawl. Nonetheless, nice damage count
@@Alex-gn6ii If i moved north that would be a huge misplay, Ohio is a slow BB slightly slower than her sister, I would put myself far from the objectives and in perfect position for enemy Des Moines to burn me down while kiting, thats why u saw me change the position of my back turrets once i got near secondary range, while blocking Des Moines. At that moment positioning was the priority over killing a single ship faster. Also I gambled that Lion wouldnt burn me down it was a perfect gamble because it seems he was running IFHE (only 24% fire chance)
You mentioning that i pushed too far east gives the impression that brawling is a no-no, torp threats is always a danger for any brawler and i needed those secondaries to work a lot that match.
I knew Yoshino torps were coming, so i timed my demacom (that has 20 sec duration) in case the torps arrived and they did! I dont know if u noticed, I tried to use the hull from that Tirpitz as meatshield, unfortunatelly she sunk faster than I wanted.

@@davedaihatsu2585 the Hindenburg at least did somethin. 2nd place xp-wise. The Shima on the other hand was 5th to last although he survived till the end.
Yes that shima all three racks missed near the two bbs damn shame.
all they did was follow and hold their fire to get the killshot, and they didnt even get it

Don`t get me wrong, but if i offer broadsides in that manner, i tend to be a spectator in later game.
My ohio is brand new, havent tried that yet - is the armor that good to risk that ?
in my opinion an extraordinary good game depends on three factors ...
(thats just my experience )
1. the player (positioning / tanking / shooting)
2 own team fails (damage to farm / kills to earn)
3. enemy team fails (dont get focussed /not getting punished in risky situations)

and why the hell only 2143 xp for that ??? i got some bb games with 4300, 4500 base xp but never got any close to that damage .
Damn if he just aimed more towards the front of yama on 2nd salvo the outcome of the game might have been different
Had a SEA match where first blood happened 9 mins into a game. Everyone is sitting angled and reversing towards the enemy. DDs fight over caps, BBs zone cruisers away, and cruisers spam any BB trying to push. It was so fking boring.

Massachusetts secondaries. They have far better sigma rating and their stock range of 7.5km can be improved even further by secondary-focused captain skills

Yeah, that Shima did questionable things right out of the gates. Very bad play by him. He got spotted and shot at the start, hid behind the Ohio for the majority of the match and decided to go full idiot at the end by getting spotted again. Makes you wonder, how he got to such a high tier. Survived almost to the end but was 5th last in the team standings - says it all it think.
