Thanks! I've started doing this for myself, since I found I wasn't enjoying the late game, and even starting out with some majors seemed to be too much of a hassle. I'm glad it turned out that I'm not the only one seeing it this way :)
I think it flows nicely with how the story is set up - a politically and economically "failing" empire needs to reinvent itself as part of an external revanchist/extremist threat. And maaaaaybe a war isn't so unwelcome, given the changes von Schleicher has made - if the Syndicalists didn't exist, he'd have to invent them 😉 I do enjoy toying with the perception. As for the intro section, did you notice a certain similarity with the comments on the previous episode?
Mein Reichskanzler, I believe we really have to look into synthetic production of vital resources such as oil and rubber. Our supply lines to Azerbaijan, and especially East Asia are too vulnerable in case of a worldwide conflict breaking out and us being surrounded
Oil and rubber are a necessity, yet our research in this field is sorely lacking. The best we have to offer are some stolen blueprints from the Russians that our scientists are still analysing. The German chemical industry hasn't been a focus for investment for too long - this may have been an oversight, yet at this point, it may be too late, and we will have to rely on the Kaiserliche Marine to protect our transports. After all, what kind of world-spanning empire would we be, if we couldn't secure our own trade routes?
It would be a cool idea to have the countries that you sent succesful volunteers to invite to faction, but i think would only be possiible with console commands due to kaiserreich changes and all that. Cheers to another banger video! cant wait for your Götterdämmerung fullplay too
Well, don't want to make it too easy, right? Certainly, the Internationale is a credible threat, although the French might be pulling the trigger a bit too soon...
@@StoriesandStrategieswithTerry It's probably for the best in terms of game balance. You have been very effective with your volunteers in Europe and so have won basically every conflict there. So having large hostile powers overseas will add some fun challenge.
You should start building even more military factories and start research on resource excavation technology Btw if China takes the Korean peninsula there should be a forced peace deal that will basically make china the winner and Japan the loser even if china didn't invade the Japanese mainland 😮😮 Also start taking focuses that will delay or weaken the Russians and the syndicaltes there are plenty of them
I've held back on excavation tech, since I can easily trade for missing resources with the colonies (I get a 1:32 ratio instead of the usual 1:8), leaves research for military matters. I'll catch up with those eventually.
Chancellor, we could send green troops to Italy and station them on the Swiss border in defensive positions. Our forces could easily stop the syndicalist rabble, and the Italians would handle the counterattacks. In the event of another Great War begins, they would be right next to our border, allowing them to return quickly.
This is how hoi4 should be played love the attention to every detail

Really like the idea of Germany being a defensive bulwark against syndicalism rather than being an aggressor. Rly like the intro segment too

I'll put up a poll once this series comes close to completion, and something interesting with the new DLC should definitely be on the books :)
India and USA both syndi is crazy though

Fair suggestion, but it seems our Italian friends have the situation under control.
Kaisereich disables the normal joining faction mechanics, its all done via decsions and focus trees.
Ah, similar to how the puppet independence mechanics are disabled. Makes sense.
I think you could do a naval invasion of Crete if you could get port access from the Greeks or maybe from Austria-Hungary
Or even the Italian Federation
Would need naval supremacy, though, and I can't send ships with expeditionary forces. We'll see if it's necessary.
Kurt Von Schleicher’s Germany seems similar to Vladimir Putin’s Russia.
Wasn't this already posted? I remember seeing the bit about the political opponent dying before.
it is a repetitive event.
Last time it was a politician, this time a journalist, I think - same with the "fractions among the left", I think these are repeating events
@ aaaah okay okay
@ I did not know!
No worries, good call. I'm usually pretty organised, but wouldn't put it beyond myself to upload the same thing twice 😅
Ugh, can i ask why episode called north Africa campaign? If all battles in Greece and Iran?
First part of the larger Ottoman war to secure the Suez and defeat the North African alliance, lead by Egypt
