So, I started out thinking “ Do I really need to watch a video about a waste basket”? I’m so glad I did! I’m going to make these in different sizes throughout my home and shop. I’ll probably laser the sides or inlay maple? Who knows? I love the angles and look of these! Thank you for this project.
Nice trolling on the sanding bit. Wait for it...wait for it...
That's a handsome receptacle!
I thought why will he not put the sanding song in.... FINALLY thank you sir as well as the rest of the video of course!
I was on the edge of my seat until it finally happened.
Same. The tension of the sander running and just KNOWING the song is coming is incredible.
@@DennerBob the master has under his thumb...
too much antici..............pation
Slow rolling the REM. You got me too!
Now that's a classy trash can!
Your waste should be proud!
Nice project!
Willem Kossen it seemed a bit TRASHY to me.
Was totally singing it in my head before it pop up “sand in the place where you live”! Great project thank you
Same here.
Same
Probably the prettiest trash bin I've ever seen.
Circle B Designs idk it seemed a lil TRASHY to me lol.
The most regal of all baskets. 🧺
I love how excited you are about your first prototype being the final version. It's a beautiful recycling bin.
I was waiting and waiting for the R.E.M "sand in the place where you live" ...... and was like... Is he not doing that anymore... nope... you still are and it brings a smile EVERY time!
Love your videos... I have to say you're a great inspiration and kinda got me into this hobby...
Awesome bin! I came here to say something clever, but it looks like every one has bin here and done that.
I love your videos, particularly since you aren't afraid to show your mistakes and, when possible, how to fix them. I do find it ironic though, that someone with such an epic beard would be sponsored by the Dollar Shave Club.
Keep up the great work!
For a second (or few) I thought that you forgot to plug the sanding song! Great product and great video quality again! Well done Dan ;)!
I love how your design turned out - better than the original.
As Borat would say, "VERY NICE!" HAHA! That waste basket looks great!
I just checked out your username and saw that you love watching How Ridiculous. Them guys are one of my favorite RUclipsrs!
@@SecretStashBrosBuilds they're awesome. I love their videos
Cool project. The handmade veneer is an awesome touch.
Would make a badass planter box too.
that turned out really nice. great job
I think this is one of your best videos, love the no plans/just an idea approach!
You got me at 4:51! I was expecting the “sand in the place where you live” and was disappointed; then the delayed music kicked in... NICELY PLAYED!! Cheers!!
Most Excellent!! Thanks for the sanding song!!! Love you buddy!!
Now you have somewhere to put the melted crayon pencil holder. ;)
gold!
As a solid waste Engineer that does wood working, I am excited for this video!
Glad to hear it! Short, Simple, and to the point!
Tuned out great David. I made that sled after seeing your video back in the day- super convenient!
Sick bin, dude.
I don't know if I've been missing it lately or what but this editing and camera work seems next level
The problem is you need now a really good stylish bag to use with that beauty. Thanks for sharing !
Great video Dave. I thought for a min. though we were not going to see "SAND", but you came through with flying colors. Great job of shooting from the hip a little.
Love your energy and tempo. Great vid
Every time the aspect ratio changes you know cameraman dan is about to work some magic
😁
Great idea - think I will make a couple to replace plastic wastebaskets in couple of main bedrooms. Loved the music. Overall, a great job, David!
We’ve been so good, and we were rewarded! The sanding part was great! (Said no commenter ever - until now)
Nice piece of furniture.
Another great one, David! Glad you’re back to sanding in the place where you live. ;)
AWESOME WORK!!! Love it.
That Lenny Kravitz song in the background though. Are you gonna go my way!
Love the project!
Always cool projects.. thank you for that....
I love this design...totally making something like this for my music room/office. Thanks!
I really like this project and it might be something I attempt.
This basket is worth more than 3 points!!!!! way way more!
This is easily my favorite of your projects. I actually plan to build one of these. Thanks.
Brill video, this is on my list now of things to make. Just need to finish the workshop first. 😂
What a waste (basket.) ;) Nicely done.
Beautiful!
Thank you Dave!
Another great project and video!
Beautiful!!
Great design. Looks cool.
The absolute suspense that @4:50 created deserves an award.
"Sand in the Place Where You Live"....Wait for it.....Ah, there it is! Another great project and video. We think THIS one is worth the $400! 👍
Love it David!
When you showed the basket in the beginning of the video it looks complicated. But once you explained it how you did it, it looks easyer. thank for explaining how you did it
I love this little waste basket. Can't have too many, right?
Too bad that you don't have a bigger hammer.
Keep up the good work, you're the best!
Thank you for playing “sand in the place where you live in full” this pleases me immensely 🙌🙌😍😍😍😍😍😍
Love your work.
Sorry I don’t comment more, but I usually watch on the AppleTV, in my workshop, and it doesn’t have a way to leave a comment. Oh, great project, great job explaining the process, easy to understand. Peace ✌️
Upside down it would look good as a lampshade too. 😀
DIM Tips I thought the thumbnail was messing with us and it really was a lamp shade lol.
Most elegant waste receptacle I've ever seen. Want it now!!!!
It's because of you I now say to my better half when prompted "I'm going to sand in the place where I live" with a giant cheesy grin.
David...... I love your design. Great video ! And amazing beard..... keep doing what you do, you are a gift to this community
hey man I was just checking out your username and saw that you like watching the King of Random. I love all of the different projects and experiments that he tries on there!
That turned out beautiful. : )
Haha, I hope to hear about that comment on the podcast next week. Great job, really cool waste can. Keep up the good work thank you for what you do. Just have fun geese!
looks really cool!
Awesome work
Love it! Looks great and I like how you used the splines to strengthen the top.
Glad I'm not the only one who makes it up as I go!
Great video David... I really Injoy your videos... They give me cool new ideas to try in my work shop. Keep doing what your doing👍
That late attempted catch @6:04 gave me a chuckle.
I tried 4 times and failed each time.
David, I love your enthusiasm!!
Nice! I like it.
Yeah he did a really nice job overall!
You should make this with veneer! I loved your simple veneer box. You should definitely make more veneer crafts!!
Another great project! I always look forward to your updates!
Checked it!!! Cool project
Very nice Job!
Nice project!!
Love your video
That jam at 1:55 did it for me.
Nice username pic! Zelda is my all-time favorite video game franchise. Me and my dad made a breath of the wild infinity chess set with a hidden compartment over on our channel. Woodworking and carving are so fascinating!
Great vid man, I thought about making similar wastebaskets and was mentally going through how I would solve some of those problems and I think you did a great job explaining that including the angles and oddly sized boards as well.
Great video! I was waiting for the song too...payoff! Great presentation style, keeps me coming back for more.
His presentation style is very nice. I want mine and my dad's videos to be more like Bobby Duke. He's just so creative and gifted in the way of making his projects and videos!
Music was spot on today. Love it
I appreciate you not spending so long on the milling process
I assume everyone had seen it a million times.
Loving the new white brick facade of the sliding doors, and your camera loves the focus too.
I was listening to the podcast where you mention your concrete /string weights. I hadn’t seen you use them, but they were well described. Bigger than I imagined.
The thing I got the most out of this video was the deeply complex compound cuts for the corner pieces. Impressive.
Definitely give this a go.
Awesome work David! 👍🏻👊🏻 ......Mad Men, great show!
I don't know guys... Seems a little trashy to me...
I'll see myself out now.
rimshot.
on the trash can.
...
....
i'll follow out the door...
REM's Murmur album on the screen behind you - great workshop listening!!
Next level
Beautiful waste basket! Us here in SoCal don’t get those fancy free bags anymore from the store. But might have to drop the 10 cent bags in there if I make one it’s that fancy.
Great work David. Better proportion and overall look than the inspiration piece!
Could also make for a good flower pot!
Nice, bin! I love projects like these ones. Furniture is cool, tables and benches are always neat, but just regular, household items are always the best.
Btw, when I think of walnut, I think of Picciuto
Awesomeness
Awesome project David! Love the video!
“Pitcher frame”? Haha. Love the project. Looks awesome.
Nice video I like the process of figuring out as you go helps those of us that work that way 😀
4:45 is the best part!
Everything about this video makes me happy. The best was (not) catching the dowel.
I missed all four attempts!
Make Something now I want to see all four.
4:50 I knew something good was coming!
100% agree about Mad Men. Oh, and the trash can is incredible.
Yes it's very good-looking!
I like your videos....entertaining and easy to follow!...keep it up!
