U can never be in front of clicker. Always stay behind em !!! But ya when ur sneaking behind em use ur listen mode while ur behind em cuz then u will be moving slow enough not to alert the clicker

I mean it could alter our behavior. Psilocybin will change your behavior. So if it flooded neural pathways with a hallucinogen it could send people into flight or fight stress responses. Making people more aggressive.
I believe the mechanism us much simpler, I don't think it changes behavior, it just damages the part of the nervous system that communicates temperature and light, so the ant climbs to the top of the plant into the sunlight to get warm.
There's a couple of ways to play this game, you don't always have to clear the whole level of infected if you're low on supplies. One way you can get by is by hiding and stealthily moving around them. Runners aren't blind and will be able to spot you if you're in front of them (they usually moan, not click), but with clickers you can crouch and move silently, they won't find you. If you don't have bullets or shivs, try throwing bottles or bricks around so they turn around and you can keep moving until you get out of the level without being spotted. You did really well in the first area.

Also, I kno how it is first play through. U will miss SOOO much stuff!!! Go to accessibility settings and to navigation settings and there is something called enhanced listen mode. Turn it on. It helps tremendously. And while it’s on once u hit listen mode u can hit square and scan for enemies but best of all u hit circle and scan and it’ll show u location of all items within range of u!!!! Trust me. Do it. It’ll help u more than u kno on ur first time playin !!!

Everything can hear you. But clickers will NEVER see you. They don't have eyes. That's their thing. You can literally walk up to any clicker as close as you want if you're slow enough. They only attack in "quiet" mode if you literally bump into them or don't get out of their path as they wander. They can't see you. Fyi, Melee weapons and molotov Cocktails are very much your best friend against them. You seemed hesitant to use either. You can kill 3 or 4 with the right place molotov because the noise makes them run directly into the fire.

For what it’s worth, the section between leaving the QZ and reaching the Capital Building is the hardest part of the game. The soldiers with assault rifles, the body armour, and only having two handguns and the occasional shiv or molotov makes it harder than any other section. It was an unforeseen difficulty spike that they couldn’t reduce.

You have to throw the empty bottle first in an open area to attract clickers then you can burn them with molotovs.

Shiv doors are never not worth it btw, I recommend always keeping a shiv handy for them
