BAIC BJ40 Plus A Macho, Retro but Modern Fully Capable 4X4 | YS Khong Driving

BAIC introduces macho, retro, modern off-road capable military style Jeep-like SUV.
The BJ40 Plus is a fully capable off-road vehicle powered by a 2.0L Turbocharged gasoline engine producing 218hp 380Nm with a 8-Speed Automatic ZF Gearbox with a Borg Warner Electronic Transfer Box and a 5-link rear axle. Front suspension is double wishbone and we understand the brakes are developed by Mitsubishi.
The looks are really great, it is retro in design, but with full modern amenities. Interestingly, it have a built in internal roll cage and the roof panels are detachable. The front windscreen can also fold forward like an army vehicle.
This is an interesting vehicle and should get quite a high following.

IF it get rid of the SAAB engine and the ZF trans and replace it with something from Toyota THEN I may consider buying one....Never did like Euro car parts.
