This was my favorite band when I was 12 years old, and I still listen to them every day. I was going through a lot of depression at the time and wanted to end my life, and the PR lady Elena Kagan, who actually was featured on "Losing You" and the keyboard man, Maurizio Lobina, wrote to me and basically saved my life. This song, even though I'm almost 30 now, just resonates with me. I love you, Eiffel 65
Noelle Daniel-Mercer hey I was listening them since they released Blue da BA Dee..was about 14-15 yes old n now m 34 n still live them..i was in Pakistan at that time n they were 1st techno band I listened..we had limited music channels in those days so I was always praying that Eiffel 65 music should be played more n more lol..I sent email to bliss corporation which I think was sponsoring them n asked them if they will ever visit Pak lol..they sent poster to me in email n replied they could if they get fan base..ahhh what time it was..are you from Italy as you mention you were in contact with band members
Everytime I look at Gabry (middle guy in the picture).......God I cannot think about what many melodies and mysteries his mind has stored up. I grew up with these guys, they are my literal icons. Me and my step brother and my best friend at the time would have this album on repeat all damn summer for 2 years straight. One of these days...I'm going to make a music video to this one of these days, and make Jeffrey Jey, Maurizio Lobina, and Gabry Ponte proud. This band changed my fucking life.
Whenever I have an opportunity to listen to this I just have to stop and be still and listen. It's still affects me the same way it did 30 years ago. Eiffel65 is unique, truly One of a kind there is no other band like them.
This song makes me upset....because I know how much time.ive wasted yet I can't control what's happening to me. I'm losing myself and this song helps me to try and move forward.
Accept it. As much as we get older, we look in the past and we still noticing the best quality music it was at that time back compared to now. So glad I experienced this amazing Album when I was so young.
This song is incredibly interesting as they implemented 2 sentences reversed. 1:23 "Going on from minute to minute." and 3:06 "Yet to come is all that's gone". Only when you reverse those parts in an audio program you will hear it. Very interesting. It's like a hidden message.
Maury: 'The original lyrics of “Cosa Resterà” chorus were exactly as you know them.. I mean...in Italian. But at the time of "Europop" the Italian language wasn’t part of our plans. "Now is forever" is a great track, but we’ve always felt a bit sorry for not being able to use that italian chorus. And when it was the right time in 2002, we’ve realized that we could give it the right chance and deserved space.'
I thought I read something about that somewhere. I find that interesting. They wrote those Italian lyrics when they were working on Europop. I always thought it was the other way around, and that Cosa Resterà was based on Now Is Forever.
Wow, one person missed the "Like" button, didn't they ? This song was the soundtrack to one of the best holidays i've ever been on, I went to Amsterdam listening to this song, and everytime i listened to it, it made me think about it even more. Now I'm moving there, and starting my life over there. Amazing song, will always remain on top of my collection. Thanks for posting :)
The additional vocals during the last choruses always give me chills. the past is all that's gone (the past is all that's gone) the future is yet to come. 2:21 the Guitar sounds always intrigued me. Its not like the normal electric guitar, but anyone kno the guitar sound/riff/effect name? Such a unique sound indeed :)

I had the original M50 pair since 2013, and they still work great to this day; they're the best monitor headphones I ever purchased! Still got your M50x?
It's been 8 years now so in case you didn't learn what thet said it is: "Going on from minute to minute" and "Yet to come is all that's gone" both said backwards. I used to wonder it too and I had to check the lyrics from the cd pamphlet :D
@@SimoPortti Hahaahahahha THANK YOU, you made my day! :D I haven't heard this song for many years but it's been great to listen to it now and see the lyrics :)
@Adolf Hitler Pölzl I've listened to the whole album after that comment, and it will always should have a special place in my heart. There are lots of memories connected to the songs, mostly I sang them with my younger brother. One of the songs I listened to after my PE teacher committed suicide in 4th grade, I'll always remember her because of that. Another one - I tried to learn to dance before going for a school dance, it was fun blasting that full volume at home. So I feel rather sentimental. What about you?
@uwarren81 Gabry Ponte quit and went for himself - the rest reappeared as Bloom 06, but never went through. There is hope however. In 2010 they all reconnected back as Eiffel 65 - so let's keep our fingers crossed that they soon will come out with something....
Have heard it said there is a double disc version of this album that was exclusive to the Hollywood director Taika Waititi's home country of New Zealand
@uwarren81 Not sure if you'll see my reply, given that your comment was a year ago, but here's your answer. Eiffel 65 broke up in 2006, one went off to be a solo DJ, while the other two formed Bloom 06. A year ago, June 2010, they officially announced their reuniting of the group, all 3 of them back under the name of Eiffel 65. They are currently writing an album! :)
@KBHDollar Well, now are recording a new album. It would have realised before September, but there were some problems (they're recording it separately, so it's more difficult to finish it).
This album is still good over 20 years later. Doesn't even sound dated.
Out dated you mean 🙂

Beautiful song, if people lived like that, there would be less unhappy people today.

Agreed! This song refreshed my perspective. Glad I decided to RUclips Eiffel 65 [again]. :) Still love this album 14 years later.
God Damn this song is well produced. Still loving this almost two decades later...time to rediscover this band.

From a philosophical stand-point, this song hits every note.
This song makes me upset....because I know how much time.ive wasted yet I can't control what's happening to me.
I'm losing myself and this song helps me to try and move forward.
This are trying times, indeed. You ARE NOT alone in this, my friend.

Tells a deep story on how to live for today and don't live in past.
This is my favorite song of theirs lyrically.
This was the future of electonica in 99. Now there is dubstep. Love these guys! Awesome Italians!

It sounds like a synth guitar with tons of overdrive and reverb. I like it too 😊
This is definitely one of my favorites on the whole album! And I love the entire album, but this particular song really gets to me emotionally!
Good back then and still great in 2021...Aus ..
Now is Forever would be a good title for a 007 film. And of course this (or maybe a slightly redone version) would be the opening theme.
I vé been 20 years old its was my favourite album in 1999 missed those beautifull years😢❤
One of the most profound songs ever, right up there with the miserere allegri
I remember the exact moment the first time listening. I was 8 or so and sitting on the bed with my friend playing tekken
