- Hi everyone! I created this step-by-step video on how much resin I use to make a complete set of Quran holders. I use around 750 grams of resin per set. I hope you guys find this video tutorial helpful.

*Resin safety*
Please use resin with care. Always wear PPE- respirator, nitrile gloves, goggles, long-sleeved clothing (optional), and work in a well-ventilated area. And always read your resin safety Instructions before use.

I took out some resin from it, bcz the pigment layer was spread everywhere that’s why I removed some resin from the first layer!, also I want to make sure that it’s thick enough to hold my Quran! I used 750ml resin to make my complete set!

I used total 750 Ml resin with hardener, please read my description I’ve break each steps in sequence, if you have any questions so feel free to ask me.

@@saba.calligraphy_3056 Steps For mixing 1:1 ratio resin
Mix 350Ml Resin (175 Ml part A and 175Ml part B, gives you 350ml for first layer) for 1st layer and pigments mix thoroughly and keep it aside for couple mins, Keep 100 ml clear resin (you have to take out 100ml resin from your 350ml resin) pour your 100ml clear resin into each mold along with pigmented mixture, After 1st layer cured, you can add crushed glass, dried flowers or glitter, Mix 400Ml (200ml part A and 200ml Part B, gives you 400ml resin) resin for the second layer and pour it and let it cure for another 24 hours after everything is cured, demold it and sand the edges with the help of the sandpapers and trim the edges with the Metallic Marker.

Doesn't the mold get spoilt because of the resin product being on it for long
Nop, tbh I let my resin products on mold at least for a 3-4 days (for better results/not bumpy) and my mold stay same as it is before.
And what could be the cause if the product is soft despite being careful about each thing during mixing
If your product is soft unless you follow all mixing steps so the last cause should be temperature, mixing way too much pigments or you add way too much hardener or resin. These are the only cause for soft/sticky products.
What can I use instead of the heat gun?
