@@LM-to2vx I don't really agree with the sentiment that Ji Ho left to make Se Hee miss her and realize his feelings. Many people say she was emotionally abusing him. That is not the case, I think. I think (as she explains in eps 14, 15 and beginning of 16) it was rather that she was not sure her (and their) love was strong enough to carry all the weight of the marriage and the pressure that comes with it ("to protect all the beautiful hearts"). I think she was afraid they would eventually end up in the same situation as Se Hee and his first girlfriend, collapsing under outside pressure. As she said in this clip, she was not sure they had enough "sparking moments" which would help her endure all this. Once she found out that she indeed loved him regardless (analogous to how her mother decided to stay with her dad) and was ready for the fight, she came back to him.
@@pino6782 I don't think the Op (LM) meant Ji Ho wanted to test Sae Hee's feeling for her but the real purpose is To SEE, Ji Ho as we all know was always not assured of if Sae Hee choose her, Ji Ho stated since she was young she wanted deep, true love, the dream of her life. She knows he care for her, protect her, but there were lots of things he did for her she was not let to know. She wanted reassurance. I agree on her knowing if they continue with the marriage at that time, they will fall apart. In some way. And begin again is the only resolution. And that she learned from her mother what marriage is, that even tho she had believed marriage is not sacred, that love is, she realised marriage has it own importance that she will learn to embrace with right one, Sae Hee. And within 3 years, she is married with him again.

I also totally agree with you that many viewers don't realize Ji Ho did not have a chance to see / hear all we - the viewers - could, and the same is valid for Se Hee. We got the chance to see both sides, their internal thoughts, the things they said to other people. They did not have that chance. That is also why when Se Hee literally confessed to Won Seok about developing feelings towards Ji Ho, I immediately said: "You rather tell her as well, my friend!" :) Anyway, thank you for friendly discussion. I hope I will get to live to the day when BTIMFL 2, or any other drama with them two as main couple will be released :).

I guess lots of my couples and ships would definitely deemed as at best unhealthy, at worst "manipulative" or something. BTMFL has been one of my most healthy drama I have ever seen. I truly unable to grasp how some audiences did not feel the same, shookted.
