I've booked Blue puffin tour at 10am for 4 hours, then tour city, Artic Cathedral (13-17.00), Polar Museum (9 to 5pm), Botanical Garden (all day), Gondal 395 NWK slots in half hours from 9am, Perspective Museum open 11-17. The Tromso Catherdral closed for services is closed for services
How funny. I did my first post Covid cruise in October with Royal Caribbean and had the same problems. Service in the dining rooms below standard, lots of beef ( we thought it was because they were catering for US passengers) and general shortage of staff. I also found the food in the buffet better than the main dining room. I’ve booked to sail on Sky Princess next May as past cruises with Princess have been great. I’m now reconsidering.
Loved my first ever cruise in Oct on Princess to Canada/New England. Was happy enough that ive booked Princess to Alaska in May. I agree that the MDR menus were meat-heavy and geared to a broad, common denominator taste. To be expected. I understand they now offer a vegan menu and I am looking forward to that. You didnt mention the International Cafe. Did your ship have one? I loved it and had most of my breakfasts and lunches there. Drink package: Premiere worked well for me especially for the upgraded wine and liquor. Your only comment that surprised me is that you resented seeing the better offerings listed on the Premiere menu. Of course the more expensive package gives you the more expensive drinks. Do you think it shouldn't be available so those who dont pay for it don't have to be reminded? It would be like me complaining about the Suite dining area because I didnt have a suite.

Im torn between this sky princess , symphony/oasis of seas or the celebrity summit. I went on a carnival before n hated it too jam packed with people running everywhere. Any suggestions?

How big a difference does a balcony make for seeing sites from the ship? Can you see a lot on sea days, or are you so far out that you only see water?
It is usually really good when you are on your way to the port. During sea days there is not much to see

I was on this cruse with you, I agree on the service , Most nights two hours plus for dinner. This would cause us to miss the shows.

It was a move over offer, we were supposed to be on a different cruise that was oversold so they offered us this one instead with an upgrade

My husband and I have cruised on many different cruise lines. Princess is our favourite and the Sky Princess is our most favourite ship.
