Dudes, santo domingo is not more dangerous than new york city, if You can go and live without preocupation in NYC You can do it in same way in Santo Domingo, stop thinking that is dangerous or something like that, is dangerous as each big city in the world, and like in every city there's zones more dangerous than others in Santo Domingo is the same, i Say this becuase there's a lot of people saying that don't go out of the colonial zone becuase it's dangerous, when is so dangerous as any Big city in USA, so, don't be afraid to visit and walk around Santo Domingo, it's a big and beautifull city to visit and explore

Yeah man I’m from Louisiana went to Santo Domingo and stayed off Winston Churchill. It was loud as hell but everything was close. Blue mall was like a 5-7 minute walk. Safe travels

Piantini is the bomb. Todo cerca. Can walk late at night without a worry. Mad places to eat and drink. Giulia Cucina and Nacionsushi were great. Blue Mall is also a cool spot to eat. Dominican style Sandwiches, barra payan.

@@thepassportlife i like piantini. I felt safe. All the bars and restaurants are close by. I walked everywhere without a worry. If u need a taxi. Apolo taxi was great. If not available then i would go with uber. Piantini has a South beach Miami feel.
