Some day etho will need to repair his wings and when flying over the void to get to the farm so he can repair them, they'll break and he'll fall into the void.

I LOVED this episode! Especially the second half. The sounds you made in panic whenever you almost fell into the void, and the hilarity of endermen falling so fast. Loved it :)
Please have a pathway to the farm, I won't want to see you forget arrows and just slowly drift into the void

He has endless blue shiny rocks so he could easily recover from a death. Also it defeats the fun of flight!

34:48 If you make the endermen land on a (wooden) trap door you can flip it open to void all enderperls to speed up your game a little so it can handle some more XP orbs instead.

@@rileymay3556 your in his world download? ehh he stores some at the mob farm, it looks like a giant pyramid and at the bottom (connected at the man-cave) and there is some chests that contain all the mob drops, including gunpowder. i dont know where the fireworks are though, maybe check his sandstone and wood storage system, or the nexus.
Hey Etho! For that afk thorns thing you did have you thought about implementing that new feature of getting repeatedly shot by a named skeleton holding a healing arrow. I think it would be cool to try

This was an AWESOME episode. I may have to copy that design. I didn't even know that Enderman chase Endermites or whatever is going on here. I'll have to look into that.

Great design! I built this on our server and its output is absolutely breathtaking. It's the best enderman farm I've seen and it doesn't even need redstone.
Etho I'm only a third of the way through the vid but if you want the endearment to run faster use ice for the platform so they zoom along
That actually sounds pretty neat, but the issue is the Endermen might have a hard time getting into the 1*1 if they slip around the hole, but that's easily fixed by just not using ice near the hole. Hope Etho sees your comment (as if the mob farm wasn't obscenely fast enough already)
Nice idea, but since it is already extremely fast, I believe he will leave it and utilize the 1.10 bone blocks.

2. It spawns endermen way faster than he can pick up the xp anyway
3. Isn't his theme, he's going for bright blocks
4. Slipperiness would make them zoom way past and cause clogging

etho, for the ender ender 3.0, you should have black stained glass as a failsafe, just incase your elytra breaks, or your bow, or you dont have arrows, ect
plus, add a hopper for the enderpears so they dont fill up ur inventory. for the pixel art, do a enderman head with a barrier block over it so show "no endermen"
wouldn't a absurd amount of hopper minecarts be better? It'd be harder to cause a back log of items because it's basically a hopper's stats x the amount of hopper minecarts
Not sure but I think that will add to the entity count which will make the mob-farm worse.
+Underhacker The entity count as a whole doesn't affect mob spawning, only the number of hostile mobs. It's a hostile mob cap, not an entity cap.
Barrier blocks are creative only sadly.

But that' a cool idea. But for the hopper you'll need to add a Carpet on top to prevent some Endermen to fall in the middle of the Hopper and die.
This is still the most efficient xp farm I've used. Thank you etho ❤️

The fanned out look of the platform from below reminds me of the elytra, maybe turn them into giant elytra? :P
And if you're feeling extra creative you could build a huge Etho flying with the elytra
Or maybe an enderman!

Built this for the first time today and I have got to say it works as good as it did back then!
I'm a developer, but I've never done game development before. From my perspective, 4 months between releases is quite a lot of time. In two-week chunks of time, my team and I write a whole lot of code. By the end of the month, if we don't release our code, things start piling up (either other projects that depend on ours, or just bug fixes in general).
If any Etho viewer that does game development could enlighten me, I'd love to hear! I'm also curious how one would do automated testing in an open-ended, sandbox game like Minecraft; it seems to me that QA testing becomes tedious with the amount of content Minecraft has.
The thing is in the game they need to debug and check if things are running smoothly so yes it is a pretty short amount of time.

From this comment i see you and your team does plugins for minecraft. Or thats how it looks. Ive dont minor game development and i can tell you 3-4 months for an update is pretty quick. They have to get the ideas, fix bugs, make models, make textures, create sounds, and once its all together and ready they have to test it out and try to find all bugs they can. then they have to fix those. So 4 months is fairly quick. I would say average is about 5-6 months.

It is an 81 diameter semi-circle centered on the endermite.

For the enderman farm, you should use pixel art of the zelda triforce symbol (the one with the wings). The shape is perfect for a semicircle!

Hey Etho! A great design for the floor of your Ender Ender 3.0's floor would be a lime slice. You are building out of lime green blocks, and a lime slice shape is the same size as the spawning platform. There is white bits to a lime slice, so you will still be able to use all of those bone blocks that you have. Another idea is a watermelon, but this doesn't fit as well. Just a few thoughts, keep up the great work!
Etho is going to kill himself by jumping off the end without Elytra. I guarantee it.

The new enchanting table sounds are exactly like the sounds tumbleweeds make when you pick them in Don't Starve ROG.
Here's an idea: Build a glass floor near the void in case you fail with your bow.
I think ender man can spawn there or tp there so it will cause the spawn rates to go down

They really didn't do a lot with 1.10 compared to the others IMO. A lot of it is stuff that they probably could have done with 1.9.
The structure blocks are pretty good addition for 1.10 but that is entirely command block stuff

Masterown35 That is true, unless they have some more planned for 1.10
1.9 took so long because they wanted to finish what they had. If they tried doing 1.10 stuff in 1.9 release it'd take another 100 days. Small frequent content updates are, in my opinion, a lot more fun and keeps the game feeling fresh.
It's like waiting on the next episode of Game of Thrones... I like the 1hour episodes instead of 10hour movies every few months.

MrMuscularManlyMan No I understand what you mean. Small content updates are great, I just don't know if, at least compared to the past, I would call this a full 1.x update. It almost seemed like a "Oh we forgot to do this in 1.9, let's get this in there real quick" kinda thing.
I mean besides the command block stuff, you've got the 3 new mobs, some new blocks, bug fixes, autojump, and some changes to world generation and the Enderman spawn mechanics. I mean when you look at the changelog it sounds like they did a lot, but it just feels like this could have been part of a much larger update.
Etho, I'm pretty sure that fireworks now produce 3 every time you craft them since 1.10. So that would mean that your firework factory tripled in production! (Guess you were right about the farms getting way easier.) Anywho, you're a friggin' genius, Etho. I've been amazed at your work since you started this thing and it just keeps getting better. Nicely done.
How many blocks did he go off into the void to build the Ender Ender?
Everything_in_Gymnastics go at least 128 blocks out so all the enderman on the main island despawn, and new ones will only spawn in your farm.
I suggest going 200 or over it. I mean, to be completely sure. *+TD Vlogs*

I tried making this but the endermen were not aggressive against the mites.. I tried on a 1.10.2 server.

same tested it in creative and the ender men didn't seem to care about the mites anymore
They have to spawn from an ender pearl. If you spawn them from an egg they don't work.

You should make the floor of your new Ender ender an angry enderman face. So that way when you're looking down, or up, at the floor, you see exactly what their faces look like before the drop. Going for comedic effect here.
you should make the fan into a massive smiley face by adding some eyes and a big cheesey grin!!!
For the pixelart you could use a block that blends in with the void (maybe obsidian) and then have light blue stained clay or something like that to make endermen's eyes starring at you from above out of the void
