      Def check your soil. A friend gifted me a soil tester kit and mine was waaaaay too acidic! Adjusted and now ready to replant.

    Half year after making your large hugelculture bed? Amazing , my square foot Mel's mix soil recipe was leafy but hardly productive, easily diseased. Soil testing soon.

      I’m sure it will get even better over the next few years. I’ll be testing the beds soon to see how it changed from last year.

    The garden just keeps on giving at this stage it seems like. Do you eat everything? Is it enough? Or do you still buy more vegetables and fruits? Do you preserve a part of the harvest so you can enjoy it later in the season?

      It does! We try to eat everything, though the leafy greens often become overwhelming and we can’t keep up. It’s nice not to have to buy any of that for much of the year! We do still buy fruits but almost all our veggies are homegrown. Preservation is something we still need to work on.
