Thanks for teaming up with me on this video, Greg! I love that we share a passion for hugel-ing and it's always great to see what is going on in your garden!
Thanks for making this video :) It was inspiring and a bonus to hear my dog sing along with the montage music It adds one more song to her list of about 5 songs that she likes to sing along with :D
looking better every year. Are you allowed to have chickens or quail? The best area of my garden is one I topped with the free woodchips I used as deep bedding in my chicken coop. The soil is just alive over there from all the chicken droppings that have aged for a year with the woodchips breaking it down into very rich soil.
Thanks! We probably could have chickens but it’s not the best neighborhood for it, especially with the construction happening now. I would love to have chickens some day, partly because they’re a big part of a true permaculture system.
I live in an HOA neighborhood with a small backyard. I have heavy red clay soil and this year I dug a 10ftx3ft Hugelkulture bed. I used the leaves and grass clippings from the landscapers and I'm waiting for the organic material to break down. So far its broken down well, but like Jenna said, gardening (in clay soil) is a marathon. So next year I plan on planting nothing but watermelons. You and Jenna put out great content. Thank you for posting.

Thanks for watching! I hope you get a massive watermelon harvest!
Somehow I’m intimidated by huglekulture! Maybe I’ll give it a try for 2024 growing season.
You should definitely go for it!
Hi Greg, just a question...are you still putting up new videos? I really do hope so...
Yes, I’ll have new videos very soon! I’m starting to plan and shoot footage for the upcoming growing season. Thank you for your interest!
@@SomeRoomtoGrow that's great!!!
