Ugh, even to this day this song makes me feel weird on the inside. That must be sadness. Even without understanding the language (a little, I know). the music can communicate with you without understanding. Very powerful and the music video also helps with it.
5:24 Wow. Its like watching a live action anime. The way the guy is got his bag positioned just like how all the high schooler boys hold it in anime and the way the 'shy' girl hands out the confession note to him. Didn't know the Japanese actually do this. Or maybe its just for the music video..
well yeah they do it but it's quite rare actually, and that's why i said they don't because letter giving is only cultural in anime. If there's anything similar to this, it's the love letters put into their lockers, now this is something they always do in japan, although they also put other stuff like thumbtacks, fake love letters, and.... etc.... it's funny and scary at the same time
Suetsugi Do you live in Japan? Technically I don't either but I live in Korea, which is heavilly influenced by Japanese Culture. Chocolate on Valentine's day is an old tradition in both countries now, love letters are not the most but certainly a quite popular way of students confessing their feelings. The cliches in anime are often exaggerated from a bit to a whole lot but it directly reflects real culture in Japan. If nobody actually did it then the people watching anime at Japan wouldn't have sympathized as much.

I cant believe its been 8 years... time flies really fast without I knew... the song is really beautiful indeed, but kinda painful because brought up old memories 💔
So I was on Spotify and looked up Japanese anime songs and this one was the first song that popped up. I listened was like attacked by nostalgia! I'm not sure where I first heard this song. I just know that it's been so long since I heard it. I'm 29 turning 30 this year so pretty sure I was in my teenage years when I heard this the first time when I was still living in Japan. Too bad I can't remember where and when but I still know the lyrics and the feeling! It's amazing... I may not remember at all, but my heart does ❤️
I've been listening to it since the last year of elementary school. Now I'm in my 3rd year of university. I love this song and the Japanese songs in my memory...I come back to listen to it every year and period.🥹🩷🫂🩷🩷🩷
You don,t need to pity other for not understanding this language because you only know the melody not the rhythm think before talking big about yourself and about this song flow because you yourself are fools or in japanese it is known as baka or simply idiot wakata omai wa. Baaka😛.
I'll start high school this year and I'm always afraid something will go wrong, or I'll fail in some way but I really really want to enjoy these years. I feel like they'll be precious in the future..
Wow, this is sad as hell... the singing is nice, but holy crap, that is not a good way to get closure. You just made it worse for yourself. In case you guys missed the meaning of the song, since it's in Japanese, this girl basically fled from the idea of giving a love letter to her high school crush (Ookura), and blew all of the important memory opportunities there. This song is apparently about her chasing her past self to get some misguided closure upon failure when she was younger. The end is the saddest, she says 'I've always loved you, I finally said it' to an empty desk. In the words of Mary Shelly, It is also a duty owed to yourself, for excessive sorrow prevents improvement or enjoyment, or even the discharge of daily usefulness, without which no man is fit for society." I hope she got better, damn. #1 Way to get me to cry, put something involving regret, and pile that crap up as high as you can.
Yukiru Kannazuki it just shows that the Japanese culture or tradition preserves the true meaning of love.. for us in other countries, we occasionally say the words "i love you" easily just the thought that we love that person but what if we deeply love that we cannot find the right or exact words to describe it, that it all comes down to another say "no words can describe how much i love you" or "i love you very very much" is utterly pathetic when you think about... mean while to them just just hearing the words "suki da yo", "daisuki", "suki"or "i like you" means a lot to them and it takes all of their courage just to say those words. I truly admire their preservation of the meaning of love which is "Suki"- to friend or admirer or crush, "aishiteru" - you love them very much, while "koishiteru" Is used best when saying it to someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. We should learn from them.
Kevin So "Love" is only one of the many words they take seriously. I realize it's hard to say to someone in earnestness that you like them, but unless she's practicing for another year with him, what she's doing will likely twist her mind a bit.
Yukiru Kannazuki more than sad, I think she's happy because she already pull out all the effort of making her conffesion (even to a empty desk) late enough for her to say "I lovED you" it's kind of let go of those feelings now that they're already graduated and probably will never meet again. Well at least that means for me #yolo
Zorenar uniforms are a pain yo, without tapering or altering the uniform, it's pretty plain and doesn't give you the right fit. Further more, it restricts on your creativity to dress up
If this song went to Asia's got talent.... then.... probably they'd win the award....I am just a 13 year old saying this....I think it would though..... Though I am still an amateur in learning japanese....the video appeared clear to me..... it's sad....but....it's true love..... and it's pure ..... It's as if it was writen on the girl's eyes in the last scene.... even if it was just an empty bench...to which she expressed her true feelings.....
Wow, I used to watch this all the time before I went into High School, now here I am about to graduate in 2 months and I like a guy and I still haven't told him yet.... This song hits differently now
@@ajith700 I didn't tell him even though it was the last day of school..... BUT YESTERDAY HE INVITED ME TO HIS GRADUATION PARTY!!!! So I think I might write him a letter and put it in his graduation card, I don't want to tell him word for word because it's a big event for him
@@juneleaf7603 If he gets a lot of letter or postcards then it's going to be tough for him to be able to read your letter. I would suggest talking to him after he gets some free time
now is 2018 January 7th, Hearing this song bringing me back too into 2012 where im graduate from High school... as long as the music ringing... my memories from that year, come back again, not only about good and bad memories, but everything in there... all the memories that i cant never forget, all the memories never i say "Sayonara"
I've never heard of this song but once I heard this song it felt like nostalgia, even though this was the first time I heard it and didn't know about supercell. What a great song.
Oh my goodness. I'm sobbing.... At the end when she said "I'll always love you " (Zutto, zutto, mae kara suki deshita) my heart just shattered. 😔 What a happy sounding song that has so much more sadness hidden behind a different language.
..... Just listening to this just doesn't want me to leave High school any more...... I'm gonna play this song on my final year...... Just two more years......to go.......
The voice is from Yanagi Nagi and the singer in this video actually is dubbing. The MV actress's name is Ema Sakura. It took me a while to gather this information... I really thought that Yanagi Nagi is her. (>.
I hate it that I can relate... I never talked to my school crush, even though I knew he liked me too! I was so shy, everytime he tried to approach me I would vanish... I blew up so many chances... I know it sounds really stupid but I was so anxious, my heart was trembling!... To this day I still think about him even though we finished school three years ago and I used to date another guy... We were in love, staring at each other's eyes and smiling during classes... He has done so many things for me, he was standing up for me to bullies, acting silly to make me smile everytime I was sad... I wish I could do things for him too, take care of him and make him happy. I wish I had one last chance, just one more😔
@@renkylo2179 you know what? I don't even care what you think, I was in a really bad place mentally at the time and couldn't control myself, but I loved him, sometimes people aren't bad, they're just in a bad place at the moment. If that's all you got from this long ass comment whatever, probably you had your share of bad experiences too to be so quick to come to this conclusion. Nothing is gonna change now anyway, so there's no point in judging me, I already said I was stupid and I have forgiven myself.

Please listen to their (supercell) musics! They are sooo good! The vocalists are changing, 1st vocalist (including this MV) was Yanagi Nagi (now a soloist, often filling anime OST such as OreGairu), 2nd was Koeda (also a soloist now, did Guilty Crown OST before), and the latest was Ann & Gaku (their song's title: LOVE). supercell's prod, also known as ryo, was one of the legendary Vocaloid produsers. He produced Melt, World is Mine, Black Rock Shooter, Love is War, and many more!

I've been listening to it since the last year of elementary school. Now I'm in my 3rd year of university. I love this song and the Japanese songs in my memory...I come back to listen to it every year and period.🥹🩷🫂🩷🩷🩷
How nice it wud be if i can go back to that moment and tell him how i felt about him :')
i pity those who can't understand japanese, the lyrics are beautiful. its like clannad all over again
Lee Joshua CLANNAD IS ITS OWN STORY AHHHH
Lee Joshua Hey man the top comment is the lyrics😂
Lee Joshua, i pity on myself. lol
You don,t need to pity other for not understanding this language because you only know the melody not the rhythm think before talking big about yourself and about this song flow because you yourself are fools or in japanese it is known as baka or simply idiot wakata omai wa. Baaka😛.
Stupid
Thank u peko❤.
I'll start high school this year and I'm always afraid something will go wrong, or I'll fail in some way but I really really want to enjoy these years. I feel like they'll be precious in the future..

Adeus Akira. A dor da perda é pequena perto do seu enorme legado ❤😢
What a nice thing to watch before graduation.
Ah the nostalgia, from Guilty Crown to Egoist, that's how I discovered this band in 2013-14?
Egoist, Nano and Supercell
@@joel6672 you remind me of Nano 😂, can't believe I've forgotten it
the imagery is just beautiful supercell, bravo.
Yukiru Kannazuki yes i can fell the sadness, when she say that
Yukiru Kannazuki it just shows that the Japanese culture or tradition preserves the true meaning of love.. for us in other countries, we occasionally say the words "i love you" easily just the thought that we love that person but what if we deeply love that we cannot find the right or exact words to describe it, that it all comes down to another say "no words can describe how much i love you" or "i love you very very much" is utterly pathetic when you think about... mean while to them just just hearing the words "suki da yo", "daisuki", "suki"or "i like you" means a lot to them and it takes all of their courage just to say those words.
+Jose Topacio get your shit together dude
HER SKIRT IS EXACTLY LIKE MY SCHOOL UNIFORM
I suddenly don't hate my uniform anymore
Andra Loves You where do you live?
Cause my cousin lives in India and has the same uniform aswell
romania :P
its common
Char Char I wish we had uniforms in the US 😢😭
Zorenar uniforms are a pain yo, without tapering or altering the uniform, it's pretty plain and doesn't give you the right fit. Further more, it restricts on your creativity to dress up
Joder!!! Años que no escucho este tema y me emociono nuevamente como la primera vez. Sublimes notas, una letra escrita con el corazón. Hermosa.
Y te moriste? O aún estas vivo?

Pain peko...
Hello im from 10 years latter since this song first release. wish you have a good day
The voice and the song it’s beautiful
Piano guy is probs the best part of the whole music video 10/10
If this song went to Asia's got talent.... then.... probably they'd win the award....I am just a 13 year old saying this....I think it would though..... Though I am still an amateur in learning japanese....the video appeared clear to me..... it's sad....but....it's true love..... and it's pure ..... It's as if it was writen on the girl's eyes in the last scene.... even if it was just an empty bench...to which she expressed her true feelings.....
i'm on a nostalgic trip right now wish me luck
Wow, I used to watch this all the time before I went into High School, now here I am about to graduate in 2 months and I like a guy and I still haven't told him yet.... This song hits differently now
How did it go? You have one month left bud

@@juneleaf7603 If he gets a lot of letter or postcards then it's going to be tough for him to be able to read your letter. I would suggest talking to him after he gets some free time

now is 2018 January 7th,
Hearing this song bringing me back too into 2012 where im graduate from High school... as long as the music ringing... my memories from that year, come back again, not only about good and bad memories, but everything in there...
all the memories that i cant never forget, all the memories never i say "Sayonara"
reminding me of my high school days ;-; . and it's 2019 rn AAAAAA
I've never heard of this song but once I heard this song it felt like nostalgia, even though this was the first time I heard it and didn't know about supercell. What a great song.
Its night and I want to sleep...maybe this will be my lullaby
Oh my goodness. I'm sobbing.... At the end when she said "I'll always love you " (Zutto, zutto, mae kara suki deshita) my heart just shattered. 😔 What a happy sounding song that has so much more sadness hidden behind a different language.
Omg the boy is Ino Hiroki my life is complete
i had made this discovery five years after this video was uploaded :")
I was like "wait this face looks familiar" "ino?" "nah no way" "but he looks like ino....."
Thank you for confirming it lol 😂😂
..... Just listening to this just doesn't want me to leave High school any more...... I'm gonna play this song on my final year...... Just two more years......to go.......
enjoy it as much as u can. it's the best time and place u can have fun in.
Oh highschool days , very nostalgic . . .
Congratulation for your graduation.
Are you have a good memories?
Meada Kazuya are yo Japanese?
I am sad
This song brings me back to high school...when everything was simpler...
Used to be my favorite song. It reminds me of my junior high days ☺️
2019, still crying while watching this
The voice is from Yanagi Nagi and the singer in this video actually is dubbing. The MV actress's name is Ema Sakura. It took me a while to gather this information... I really thought that Yanagi Nagi is her. (>.
i really apreciated fyi bro
bless you
Nagi Yanagi is more beautiful. Comparing these two is sinful
Nice info
I hate it that I can relate... I never talked to my school crush, even though I knew he liked me too! I was so shy, everytime he tried to approach me I would vanish... I blew up so many chances... I know it sounds really stupid but I was so anxious, my heart was trembling!... To this day I still think about him even though we finished school three years ago and I used to date another guy... We were in love, staring at each other's eyes and smiling during classes... He has done so many things for me, he was standing up for me to bullies, acting silly to make me smile everytime I was sad... I wish I could do things for him too, take care of him and make him happy. I wish I had one last chance, just one more😔
Sayonara Memories :)
Lol Women☕
He deserves someone better
@@renkylo2179 you know what? I don't even care what you think, I was in a really bad place mentally at the time and couldn't control myself, but I loved him, sometimes people aren't bad, they're just in a bad place at the moment. If that's all you got from this long ass comment whatever, probably you had your share of bad experiences too to be so quick to come to this conclusion. Nothing is gonna change now anyway, so there's no point in judging me, I already said I was stupid and I have forgiven myself.
This song always lifts up my mood. It makes me happy again and again!
Pekora sings this song for coco kaichou while crying and after seeing her crying while she sings this song suddenly i started to cry aswell. Goodbye Coco Kaichou o7
Seems like I wasn't the only one coming back here after watching Pekora break down like that..
Can't I say I can't relate to Pekora ಥ‿ಥ

Interesting recommendation 😶 I don't know this band, but this song and video are beautiful. Thanks again, RUclips!
He produced Melt, World is Mine, Black Rock Shooter, Love is War, and many more!
this song i always listen when i was young, now 2023 i still listen this song...
Pekora brought me to this song again :(
