There are only three things that can make me feel the chilling gust of nihilism in broad daylight: "The Sirens of Titan" by Kurt Vonnegut, "Synecdoche, New York" by Charlie Kaufman, and Bazpierce on a Friday evening.
***** It is entertainment for us since we don't have to live with the consequences. Don't be ashamed because it isn't your fault personally, but at the same time the USA is really fucked up in some ways.
That is indeed a good scene. Although I think Divine eating the poo at the end is a better metaphor for life, or perhaps how we should live - i.e. In situations that feeling like eating poo, we should just throw ourselves into it and savour it.
No Barry. I wouldn't care if Luhrmann directed Dr. Strangelove, Romeo and Juliet would always be his best because of THAT SCENE WHEN LEO IS UNDER THE BED SHEET AND HE IS LAUGHING AND HIS HAIR FALLS IN FRONT OF HIS EYES.
Best video. Also I know you'll hate me for it but I like Baz Luhrmann for the Great Gatsby, Romeo+Juliet, and Austrailia. Something about the the style of his films just does it for me, sorta like my obsession with Wes Anderson. I've been watching your vids since the very first one and not about to stop now even if you hate me. =)
My sixth class teacher made us watch strictly ballroom and muted it whenever there was swearing because apparently our twelve year old ears were too innocent
Our father who art in heaven hollowed be thy name thy kingdom come something something as it is in heaven. Give us this day daily bread I think as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. AMEN PRAISE BARRY OUR LORD AND SAVIOR.
Wow 19 !... awwwww At 19 I was experimenting with recreational substances... and getting philosophical advice from wild dogs ans plants...! Anyway, if "l'existencialisme est un humanisme" I would say, pesimism is a kind of humanism too. I mean, it is at the orignins of " nature" (pardon the awfull word) or deeply within ourselves, the observation of death as the ultimate truth or consequence of everything in life and life itself, and the randomness of it all, the chaos, paradoxally the law that puts everything into place... Herzog's profounds words on "nature" in Grizzly man... (face to face with the remains of a cub eaten by its progenitors I think, or facing the corps of a dear fox, not sure)... Anyway, Human being a part of Nature, one with nature, One attached inevitably to the other, we can sound "depressed" by the observation of this corner of reality or angle of perspective... Or we can dance to the beat of chaos. Just remember you can look at "reality" from multiple infinite angles, and all at the same time as a hole, and dance to all... So... regarding what to do with your summer, the answer in inside your video... DANCE ! (but do everyone a favor... don't do the tapdance). Oh and PS. Pinkflamingos... and ode to "humanity" by the way. Yours trully, someone who doesn't dance.
Annabelle De Andrade Baz Luhrmann, director, b. 1962. *Strictly Ballroom*, dir. Baz Luhrmann, 1992. *The Red Shoes*, dir. Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, 1948. *Billy Elliot*, dir. Stephen Daldry, 2000. *Kes*, dir. Ken Loach, 1970. *The Producers*, dir. Mel Brooks, 1967. (The tap dancing Nazis were a veiled reference to this) *Pink Flamingos*, dir. John Waters, 1972.
If I'm wrong please disregard but I'm interpreting your demeanour today as suggestive of very low mood, high apathy, low energy, and seeming understimulated in a physiological sense. I've experienced this state myself. Absolutely get out of your room and if possible get out of your head. Get out in sunlight for at least 20 mins a day even if just walking dog around the block or standing in your yard. The exercise and vitamin D are two crucial factors to helping getting out of this state if you are indeed in it. Hope you start to feel better soon for yourself and don't feel pressured to produce content for YT.
You're only nineteen!? That's just too much bitterness and cynicism for such a wee lad. ;) Also who the hell is Baz Luhrmann? (How far up the scale of "most hated" did I just make it?)
AndreaMGC it was better than I thought it would be. My fiancé liked it more actually which is really funny. He likes saying "old sport' haha. Luhrmann also did Romeo + Juliet which I actually really enjoyed because it made Romeo and Juliet less hateful for me than usual and it has Claire Dane's ugly crying face
I love your continuing optimism of life.
There are only three things that can make me feel the chilling gust of nihilism in broad daylight: "The Sirens of Titan" by Kurt Vonnegut, "Synecdoche, New York" by Charlie Kaufman, and Bazpierce on a Friday evening.
This is beautiful. Thanks babes.
Your videos just keep getting more random/weird and I absolutely love it.
How dare you! Are you genuinely trying to suggest that Step Up 4: Miami Heat did not greatly improve the lives of everyone it touched!?
Le bonheur de vivre déborde de cette vidéo de façon on ne peut plus claire! Cela est parfaitement simple à voir tout au long de cette dernière!
Well that will now be my new philosophy on life: I live in the hope that the adversities I face in life may swiftly kill me so I may be happy.
Bazpierce's RUclips channel tag line should be: "Watching a crazy person from a safe distance"
I'm so happy that this video showed up in my feed.
"Moulin Rouge" was my favourite. Also the moment Leo DiCaprio shouts/cries "then I defy you stars!" at the stars!
Also you said "Frederic Nietzsche" and I heard "Freak of Nature" which made me laugh so very hard when I realized who you were talking about.
im so happy for a new video!
I think there needs to be a ''Barry covers republican candidates'' video. That would be glorious. XD
ImmaterialDigression Doubt he'd know much about them.
***** I'm English, people this side of the pond are WELL AWARE of how fucked up the republican candidates are. WELL AWARE.
ImmaterialDigression Damn, I dunno if I'm glad the world knows or ashamed~
***** It is entertainment for us since we don't have to live with the consequences. Don't be ashamed because it isn't your fault personally, but at the same time the USA is really fucked up in some ways.
ImmaterialDigression I think barry would have a stroke
That lugubrious delivery! I think you're gradually turning into Alan Rickman.
Strickly Ballroom is epic. No one ever knows about it though.
I truly believe that you should start a series of videos dedicated to #youknowthatscene.
This was your funniest video by far. You had me at tap dancing Nazis.
Is this video a cry for help?
cute shirt
The Happiness of Life
That is indeed a good scene. Although I think Divine eating the poo at the end is a better metaphor for life, or perhaps how we should live - i.e. In situations that feeling like eating poo, we should just throw ourselves into it and savour it.

Ophelia Dagger sometimes I remember your weaknesses and I cry
I have one weakness and it died in 2001.
At least it thanked you for the fish

It seems to me that Kenneth Williams' soul has set up camp in the body of a deadpan young Irishman.
My sixth class teacher made us watch strictly ballroom and muted it whenever there was swearing because apparently our twelve year old ears were too innocent
Thoughts on The Line, the Cross, and the Curve, dir. Kate Bush, 1993?
When you transitioned from "I don't remember what oranges *taste* like" to "you know that scene in Pink Flamingos...", I was worried for a moment.
Barry you totally forgot Dirty Dancing
Maj HøyerI put Baby in the corner
Haha oh well then
Our father who art in heaven hollowed be thy name thy kingdom come something something as it is in heaven. Give us this day daily bread I think as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. AMEN PRAISE BARRY OUR LORD AND SAVIOR.
Can you intersperse every video from now on with speeded up footage from North Korea? Thanks.
Tom Harwood I second that!
Dance video marching + bloody chickens. I want to see that in stop clay animation.
At 02:05 I stared into the abyss, and the abyss stared back at me.
I thought he was going to start talking about the step up movies oh mygod
I think I like your shirt
....I don't remember what oranges taste like.

Can someone tell all the reference (movies) that he mention?

Thanks, because Spanish is my home language and I understand you, but with the names I'm not sure if what I heard is the same that you said...
We are all just waiting to die.
Can i ask what are you studying in uni?
you should reread some of your books ;-)
I wonder Barry, what are your thoughts on Terrence Malick? btw youre a freak ;)

AndreaMGC He directed The Great Gatsby movie with Leo. Also Moulin Rouge. (Barry I'm ashamed to say I haven't seen Strictly Ballroom, don't hate me)
***** OH!!!! I haven't seen Great Gatsby yet. But I hated Moulin Rouge.
AndreaMGC it was better than I thought it would be. My fiancé liked it more actually which is really funny. He likes saying "old sport' haha. Man, I'm all kinds of wut :-/
Seriously Barry, are you okay? Maybe you should talk with a therapist? Get outside a bit more often?
u k Hun????
Why, you do seem to have something of a soft spot for dictatorial marches, my dear fellow! ;)
Why aren't you working two jobs and taking extra cello lessons during your break?
well, you have plenty of free time, so what about some book reviews? Just saying!
Ordowai D. You're going to be waiting a long time before you see book reviews on this channel ever again.
Bazpierce oh I thought you just took a long break. Maybe I missed you mentioning it in some video
