Great video, an honest and realistic view of what a great challenge Lomond is, I blanked on my first few visits, but I know the potential, it is a real heartbreaker on one hand, yet when things fall into place it can produce pike-like no other. I suggest you invest in a plastic freezer box and fill it up with sardines ( Very cheap at Aldi). Go fully ready, its the deadbaits fished at range which can often lure the monsters.
Good on you for having a go, once your on the ground its amazing how much info you can gather up with your phone and a few chats to the locals. I reckon it would help to give a venue a couple of days to get your eye in. Keep it up.
This is definitely the best series to watch soo much more to come as well. Only started watching from the cold feeder session glad to have found this channel

To be fair, I am sure things will get easier further south, but this is a tiny window into fishing a small part of Scotland - often we’re fishing huge natural venues that take yrs to even scratch the surface in terms of knowledge. So it was always going to be tough, fair play and best of luck today.
Watching every day waiting for that first fish!! I’ve always done the same when on touring holidays, stick a rod in my van and fish totally unfamiliar places and never catch a bloody thing!!🤣😂 keep at it 👍🤞👌
Loch Lomond is massive so are some of the Lochs in Ireland so fish could be anywhere so don't expect to catch anything in a couple of days sessions because places like Lochs you need to pre bait for at least thee days if not more..but if i struggle to find a fishing permit i will just fish anywhere and wait for the land owner come to me but long as you have got a national river license meaning all of the UK they can only tell you can't fish here without a permit..so you should of taken your self your kayak because land owners only own the land not the water 👍
