Infact this is why I like this channel. He provides sources from where we got the information rather than just giving us information so we can think for ourselves what might've actually happened. Most history channel would just feed us one particular information without telling us about alternate theories and the sources of all the theories so we just get sure of something without knowing its just an assumption

No , Huns are descendants of the early nomadic confederation of tribes north of China called the Xiongnu .
They used to be extremely strong and even married Han Chinese princesses for decades. Once the Chinese became strong enough they defeated them and caused them to scatter again in all directions.
One branch of these people are the Hunas that moved into Central Asia and then the subcontinent.

How is it concluded that the title of kushanshah adopted by the Huns settled in Bactria automatically translates to successor of the Kushans instead of the Huns claiming to be Kushans themselves .
I feel the Chinese sources which you've quoted are more accurate in this regard with them calling these peoples the lesser Yuezchi there by linking them to the Kushans.
BTW - well presented topic as usual. Highly appreciated. In Particular the topic of the Huns & their interactions with both Iran & India is poorly understood in India & perhaps also Iran & which hasn't quite received the traction it's received in the West particularly in the Huns vs the Romans or Attila the Hun - case in point .
I wonder how much has this got to do with little documentation of historical records in Iranic & Indic sources as compared to Western sources .
BTW - I once read that the Huns rule & raids over North & Central India especially the North West aka what's now the KPK & Pakistani Punjab was as devastating if not more as that of the Turco Afghans in the 2nd millennium CE except that we lack complete records of the depth of the gravity of the situation.
The only difference being while those Huns were Indianised with time whereas those Turco Afghans who followed changed the culture & religion of the North West & later both the North & East / North East of India.
The same writer argues that the whole of the NW especially the Kabul Zabul Ghazni Kandahar axis was so unstable with the Indic religion & culture unable to establish firm roots for paucity of time that when the Arabs struck from Seistan Balochistan / Khorasan Iran conversion to Islam though tough initially wasn't too difficult or prolonged.
For perspective the last major Hun attacks was in the first half of the 6th century. Hence while Banabhatta in his Harshacharita refers to the perennial problem the Huns posed to North India composed in the first quarter of the 7th century CE they weren't on the scale of what N India encountered before. Shortly after Harsha's death & dissolution of his empire the Arab conquest of what's now Eastern Iran & western Afghanistan was undertaken.

I think these people are related to Gurjars, who always claim their ancestry to two groups: Kushans and Huns.
The coin evidence you mentioned around 6:00 already points that Hunas viewed Kushans as their ancestors....called themselves Kushanshah and Lesser-Yuechis. Gurjar-Pratihar Kingdom suddenly appeared post the invasion of Hunas in Western India, Sindh, Punjab.
The fact that Hunas never called themselves Hunas is also interesting, because they are called Gurjars in Banabhatta's Harshacharita while the writer (paid by Gupta) is mentioning about fight between Hunas and Guptas. He also mentions their place as Gurjardesa somewhere in the text. In that text the following is written: "A lion to the Huna deer, a burning fever to the King of Sindhudesa, a troubler of the sleep of Gurjara King".
Interestingly, Kushan and Hoon are big surnames among Gurjar people around Delhi/Meerut.

You are wrong. Kushanshah is not Hun.. Huns or Xiongnu/hseingnu originally belonged to mongolia-siberia . Under Modu Chainyu they conquered Gansu, Dzungaria (north xinjiang) from Indo iranian Saka/scythian whom they called yehuchi. Later by 100 AD they conquered kazakhstan from Scythian /saka... Saka, Kushan were indo iranian Scythian. But early huns were mongoloid altaic speakers.
By 350 AD they became more powerful and conquered Uzbekistan, turkmenistan, tajik, tarim basin from Scythian and iranics. Another branch went west conquering alans, caucasus, crimea, romania reaching Hungary...
Kishans were defeated by Persian Sassanians in 225 AD. a sassanian took title of kushansha and ruled Gandhara, Bactria and arachosia.. Punjab was under Gupta. Sind was under western kshatrapa also conquered by Gupta... Makaran coast/baloch was under a parthian parataraja which was later conquered by sassanian.
But huns who came to Gandhara after skandagupta (Toramana) were Iranic speaking and mixed Mongoloid(altaic) -caucasian(Iranic). Mehar/mihir (ancient Mithra) means sun and gul mean flower in IRANIC and not ALTAIC/turkic......Mihirakula

There are two major Haplogroups that filled Eurasia from Chad in Africa, R1b through Spain into Western Europe and R1a through India, develop a civilization and spread out to Eastern Europe both North and West. Huns are probably also R1a people because there is zero R1b in India. The Huns must have migrated earlier to central Asia and come back as Huns during VARAAHAMIHIRA’s time. All India is R1a. You can see this in the maps of R1a and R1b in the wiki.

More than anything else. Your goal must be "TO MAKE THE VIEWERS FEEL VARIOUS EMOTIONS".
Emotions are key to getting anything in life.
People watch movies coz they want to feel emotions, they go to expensive restaurants coz they want to feel emotions, they go to zoo or any other place, ther desire anything in life because the desire the emotions that the place, thing or activity will make them feel.
So more focus on making them feel emotions than focus on enhancing their knowledge.

The Gupta Empire had been weakened by the attacks of the Indo-Hephthalites, known in India as the Hunas, towards the end of the 5th century, which caused it to break up into smaller states. Yasodharman Virk defeated a Huna army in 528, which checked the Huna expansion in India. Twin monolithic pillars at Sondani in Mandsaur District were erected by Yasodharman as a record of his victory. [1]
During the reign of Kumaragupta I his feudatory Bandhuvarman ruled over Mandasor as it was a major Centre of western Malwa. He belonged to the Aulikara family which perhaps ruled there up to the beginning of the sixth century A.D. Two stone pillar inscriptions from Mandasor in Madhya Pradesh, one of which is dated in 532 A.D., refer to a powerful king Yasodharman. One of these inscriptions reports the victories of Yasodharman. The inscription describes him as the victor of all those lands which had not been subdued even by the Guptas. But the names of the defeated powers have not been mentioned except that of Mihirkula. It appears that Yasodharman rose to power in about 528 A.D. and continued to rule till 532 A.D., (the date of Mandasor inscription) but by 543 A.D. his power must have been eclipsed.

Hunnic religion of tengrism influenced indian religions, paving a way to the formation of shaivism
Huns worshipped mountain gods, and their kings looked like shiva, with crescent shaped blade worn on their heads.
And the kedarite huns were conquered by alchon huns, they invaded gupta empire which leads to its decline
Most of the punjabis today have alchon huns or sveta huna ancestry. Huns didn't look like mongols or turks, but they were tall & white skinned and had elongated skulls.
