The shoey had me shook, and honestly? I'm more surprised that I'm surprised.
I'm curious, from the production side, how you cook separately but then serve at the same time. Is Josh's dish sitting for that time before? Wouldn't his fried food get soggy? Or is he cooking for the show and then preparing a fresh plate in the second kitchen while Nicole cooks? I have to think having both plates fresh makes for the most fair competition!
Realistically, both of their foods will be sitting for a while before it gets to the point of filming the eating portion (for clean up, set up, ect) so they either made a second fresher plate or both dishes we’re sitting in the warmer for awhile. I believe there has been comments in the past of “this food is a little cold” or “this foods been sitting for a minute” so I would lean more to the food chills in a warmer

I relate so much when Nicole said/joked that she helps Josh with child proof lids because I sometimes struggle with opening some lids and resort to asking my friends.
I don't know if anyone from the mythical crew will see this but I like how over the years Nicole is slowing becoming more and more like Josh and that Josh is becoming more and more...well, actually he is kinda the same. His personality is sort of that lone monolith standing against the crashing waves of time evermore. Dang, that was kinda poetic.

i think nicole is _too_ good of a cook for these challenges. she keeps wanting to make things that are refined and cheffy, which is not what these food crimes need or deserve. josh embraces the chaos in all things and we love him for it

Edit: Josh appeased all the Australians he offended by calling a prawn a shrimp by nailing the shoey, mate that was a beaut. To clean those vans use a mild warm soapy saltwater mix, scrub with a toothbrush and stuff with newspaper and leave overnight in a warm dry place
Shrimp in the US are called shrimp. Prawns in the US are giant shrimp, as in nearly lobster-sized. What you call something from where you're from doesn't matter in relation to where they are used, regardless of your need to blast it out in all caps. Relax.

Anybody else in favor of a Mythical cook book? Or a series of cook books? With all the surprising discoveries made, and even gross things eaten over the years on GMM and the Mystical Kitchen, it would be so cool to have recipes collectively together so folks could make different dishes at home. There could even be categories of: food crimes, surprising revelations, international tastes, gore/daredevil, etc...
