sweet and soothing version. Every singer iba iba lng tlaga atake sa kanta. Very subjective nmn kasi ang pag sabi ng "best". Nakakalungkot lng n ang mga Pilipino laging may negative comments sa kung ano ang okay sa iba. Si Regine, institusyon na kung maituturing. Kagaya ng iba pang mga beteranong mang aawit, may kanya kanya silang tatak. Hindi nga sila naging madamot sa talent nila, pero tayo maxadong madamot magbigay ng appreciation sa mga performances nila.
My top versions are Natalie Coles and this one too, but the best one that I have ever heard and made me cry was Lea Salonga's live version. It was truly inspiring and beautiful :)

In my learned and humble opinion Regine is far better than Charice, though Charice is gifted with a beautiful voice. The problem I have with Charice is, that she spends much too much time "looping", singing unnecessary high notes that detract from the intent of the song. But I must say that Amy Grant is indeed, a quality act. Both Amy and Regine sing it with a straight voice that radiates the essence of the song.
Technical analysis of Regine and Charice's voice result.: (as perceived by the human ears) Regines voice vocal range is able to produce rich sound ourput at MID and HI notes. Charice voice vocal range is able to produce rich sound output at LOW, MID, & Hi notes. this is why Charice can MIMIC other person's voice too.

Yung kay Charice napakaganda din at yung kay Regine napaka sweet din at swabe. Nagkataon lang na parang hindi pa gaanong napractice ni Regine ng husto itong kanta kaya medyo hindi nya pa maitodo yung emotion. Obvious naman e na hindi nya pa gamay. Pero pag sya nakapag rehearse ng husto ay asahan mong 100% ang emotion na ibibigay nya. So yung kanta nya dito ay medyo nilaro nalang at ok lang kasi alam naman natin kung gaano sya kahusay na storyteller pag sya na nagconcert at nagperform. Basta napakaganda ang boses nya at yun ang importante.
i actually watched/listened versions of natalie cole, streisand, charice, kelly, Monica etc. I got curious cause the only version i heard of and that ive been listening to almost everyday is Regine's version (this solo and & version with Kyla & JulieAnne). the versions that I love the most are Regine's and Monica. Regine's version has that feel as if she's praying to God and I thought it's her original, perfect was with Kyla. Monica's version on the other hand was good as well tas pinahaba pa.
