Hi Rod. That is a nice looking radio, the 4680 was for the German Market and the 4680B was the export model. There was some small cosmetic differences between the two models. I believe that there was a version of this model that had small legs fitted. Shame about the grill, but it is a shame to break up for spares. Again thoroughly enjoyed watching cheers Chris.
Sadly this has already become an "Organ Doner" but the good news is that it has already saved the fate of another seemingly hopeless case and will do so for more similar problems in the weeks and months ahead R.I.P.
That radio needs a new front panel and maybe a similar LED to what you used to replace the burnt out bulb should be used as the heat of the bulbs cause the melting of the front grill.
Hi Rod, would be a pity to disassemble. Is a nice enough radio.
I like your bulb limiter tester with digital voltage and curent readout. I must do that on my one.
Nice video, Rod.
The brand of the tubes is RFT.

I just picked up the 4680B, it has little legs on it.
Don’t know if you still have the radio but I have a scrapped set with a good front panel if you’d like it
Many thanks for the offer, but I ended up scrapping it for parts w hich has proved invaluable in restoring subsequent projects.
Please dont use it as spares, nice lookin radio , even though the grill is slightly distorted, and also a nice sound.

Hi Rod, great to hear from you love your channel, I'm into vintage radios, have some that are working and others are ongoing projects.

Either it was to close to something hot or a output tube got very hot.
Too bad about the plastic! Otherwise, it's in brilliant condition!
Could be kept and used in a post nuclear stage play.🧟🧟🧟
