Doc what is the appropriate age for a pediatric patient to use tooth brush?
Ryan. I am studying fir the CDCE for RDH. We were told around 6 months for first child dental appt. So. FYI. What’s the correct board answer
No more then 6 months after first tooth is erupted or by 1 year latest. Whichever one comes first
Hey dr.ryan
Hello!
I have question on my mind for this channel owner please answer me : what is your specialty?
Orthodontics!
I don’t agree with the dentist punishing a patient.
This video is to showcase all of the behavior management techniques to be familiar with for the board exams. Personally I do not practice aversive conditioning, but every doctor has their own preferred techniques that work for them.
A child being defiant at the dentist does not mean that they are "spoiled and stubborn". I was a child with an intense fear of the dentist. I did fight with my parents and not listen sometimes, which I believe is normal and always got good behaviour reports at school but I had no issues being "adviced" by my parents or teachers. My neighbours have a 7 year old who is a very good boy but breaks down at the dentist. As a dentist who only sees a child in that scenario, you cannot know what they are like in other settings.
