    It's fascinating to see a map of North America without the Canadian/US/Mexican borders. Kind of gives a different perspective on it, appreciating it as one big place rather than three separate ones. Seeing how the land just flows, uncaring of man made borders, makes me appreciate anew just how small we are.

    Speaking of which, a Lord of The Rings series would be most appreciated! A brief history of a certain age, or even a discussion regarding a specific race could be something of interest to us fantasy nerds :)

    At times I have a hard time relaxing to ASMR because I feel like I'm just wasting time or nor doing anything. But this way, I'm learning something so it feels as if I'm allowed to calm down. No one else is quite as good as you!

    Favorite things about this channel, first off the content. Always was in need of historical asmr. Consistency; always posting videos constantly which is great. Definitely always weekly. Third favorite, is the LENGTH which is so crucial to this content; and helps me to fall asleep quick knowing the video will be long. If I could request- maybe a video talking about the Magna Carta? Maybe even read a few passages? Or if u wanted, the whole thing 😉😉

    I’m pretty sure native northern Canadian people prefer the name “Inuit”. I was listening to a igloo podcast on stuff you should know and they said “Eskimo” was a name given to the Inuit by Europeans and they find it offensive.
    Edit: BTW I’m not trying to accuse you of anything. I love your channel helps me sleep every night. I think the map might just be a bit out of date. ❤️💕❤️

    You had me at parks and rec. xD But in all seriousness the videos where you talk about history, show maps, and use the pencils are ones I always use to help me relax and fall asleep at night. Very interesting and calming at the same time.

    If any of you are wondering about the song he sang it was Seminole Wind by John Anderson

  • @_lenny_____leonardo
    @_lenny_____leonardo 6 лет назад +13

    This book is definitely out of date, as most native folks in the far north don't identify as "eskimos." Depending on where they are from, they might identify as Inuit or Yupik, and even those terms might be too general. Anyway, what I mean to say is that there are many many many more tribal groups than this book illustrates. Eskimo was an insult given to northern people by Algonquins and means something like "eaters of raw meat."

    • @LetsFindOut1
      @LetsFindOut1  6 лет назад +2

      yea, i iknow what you mean, but thats the pitfall of the wide scope of this

    • @DerekGraham777
      @DerekGraham777 5 лет назад +1

      Meh same shit different pile its only an insult now because people are soo bloody sensitive to names pretty soon if you call someone tall its going to be a hate crime lol thsts the idiotic logic that is of the new age people.

    Great video and I'm sure you didn't have any ill intentions but just so you know for future reference the indigenous people in the north have said that the word es**mo is an insensitive term/derogatory slur and they do not want to be referred to as such.
