Found your channel. Love it. A lot of content in from merica and is moto x orientated. I love your enduro content and bias. New subscriber and new viewer here. Keep on producing for us.
I have a vacuum pump for brake bleeding. Works really well as it pulls the brake fluid through. However that little tool looks awesome too.
Thanks for all the videos really good. I thought you might like to have a look at this great time/mess saving piece of kit which I've used for a few years now and has made changing oil so easy and hassle free. A perfect mini video idea for all the followers on your channel its the "stahlbus oil drain valve"
I had the same problem on my exc 2012. But I switched to dot 4.1 and change the oil after around 20 hours. I do the same on my 2017. The symptoms were the same. works just fine now..
very good suggest!
Zajebisty film, pozdro
I agree with Shane - pull the brake lever in and tie it there. Makes a HUGE difference. For the rear. Put it on a stand then pull the brake down and keep it there. Both overnight or at least half a day. It removes entrained air. I don't even lose the cap. There is enough room up there for the air to get to. But it is a good idea. Even a tight bungee will work. Possibly even better as it keeps pulling tighter and tighter against a steady pull. But both work.
Try it and let us all know how You like it.
Neat little tool!!
Thanks, very insightful.
Thanks Man you just saved my ride!
Nissin brakes is much better according to my experiences! I have had so much troubles with the brembo brakes I had on my ktm sx150 -13!
Where are the new vids man miss your videos
I injured my leg so no riding this season 😑 ruptured Achilles tendon.
Good vídeo!!
I personally change the brake fluid from the clamp to the pump to avoid air bubbles, did not you need to purge it by what you see in the video ?. I have the same tool, I have it since I saw it tokyo offroad (very good channel, sure it's good for any kind of doubt, he also has 2017), a greeting from Spain and gas! ✊🏽💨
bought one of these after seeing this - so easy thanks
Also these brakes are made to be reverse bled. So you push the fluid in from the caliper bleed nipple up to the master and stop once the air stops.
You cant have air in the system doing it that way. And if you're brakes get spongey over time after you get them working good then you have a small air leak letting air into the system..
Great video, bun you should try to keep the camra a bit further away when talking to it.
I like it. Danke
Did you try bleeding the brembo brakes before going to nissen masters? My brembos have one bleed on them and the bike has 160 hours on it, they've always been perfect and Rock solid. Btw I have this bleeder but still prefer the reverse bleed method (since bubbles naturally rise up)
Have you used it on the hydraulic clutch & how did that work out ??
Bought a bottle with a check valve and it was amazing to use. Just put it on the nipple and start pumping the brake while pouring in some new brake fluid and after 5 minutes boom you are done!
I been using chinese Nissins for a Honda CR250 on my Husky WR300, they are cheaper than a rebuild and feel so much better
Cool! you have a link or part # please?
How does the Nissinmastercylinder fit with the Handguards?
Thanx for the Vid! I'm sick and tired for my shitty front brake and wanna try the Nissan. You have a part # or link please?
I also have brembo brakes on my husqvarna, but don't have any problems with it. If i ride on concrete or something, and press my front brake a little, my front wheels locks up.
I have brembo as well on my husky and it seems fine? my bike is 3 years old and hasnt really had any brake system service.
Do a how to video on piston change
Tbh your face is so nice, or something. It just looks so peaceful. It makes the videos so serene and all that stuff. Why am i so wierd? Nobody knows.
You are right about japanese bikes, My Beta comes with Nissin brakes and are amazing!
6:56 Yeee, my track is there
Strange, got a 2016 and the first thing I noticed was how great the brakes are. I’m only at 22 hours, so hopefully I’m not in for a rude awakening.
Do you have web address for your track finder site ??
Please come to Germany and put a new wiretree in my 300 exc
The way you do it gets air in the breaking-lines which is not good because it causes break-fading. put the new breaking fluid on top of the old and then flush through thats better. Or get a professional break-bleeding tool for use with pressure for around 20 EUR. BGS for instance makes a nice one.
Nope, never had an issue. There's a check valve in the tool so no air goes into the system. :) Those air pressure one's are good for cars but the amount of fluid is so small in a dirt bike.
Yeah they are usually used for cars but work fine for Motorcycles as well. Hmm okay I get the idea with the check-valve in the tool. so you first pressure the old soup out until only air is in the system and then the new in. Okay thats fine then. I have to admit that I just scrobbled through the video without sound. ;D
Thanks for the explanation.
Enjoy your times in Brebu Nou with Andy. Too bad I am not there... would have loved to join u guys on the tours.
Ive had a few different KTM's all with stock Brembos and in my experience they are a damn good brake. Only have had to bleed and change fluid one time and the brembos are very strong and firm brakes IDK what you're talking about them being weak?????
yea i have 3 ktm dirtbikes atm and they all have fantastic brakes
@@NZ2STROKE Well, he's not the only one. My 2016 500exc six days has a terrible front brakes no matter who bleeds them and I think it's time to try the Nissan master
Why not pump fluid up from the caliper to the reservoir, like we do on mountain bikes? That way the air is pushed up and out.
what kind of pump to you use for that?
Even easier method is to break the seal on your master cylinder by simply loosening the screws and lifting the lid approx 1-2mm so air can escape and then pull your brake lever in tight and put a cable tie \ zip strap around your bar and the lever, holding the brakes on tight. Leave it overnight so it can force the air out of the lines by itself. The next day you simply cut the cable tie and screw your master cylinder lid back down tight and you have great brakes. Cost= 1x cable tie
Doesnt work
@@bve7397 same, how did you fix ?
@@oscar4605 Not 😭 Probably gotta buy a nisin nysin brake master
@@bve7397 damn and did u try rebuild cylinder master and caliper+
My 2018 front brake lever goes completely flat if I don’t ride it often.
Now a put a zip tie/cable tie on the lever zipped down as hard as it can while parked in the garage. This keeps the air out.
Interesting idea.. ive never had an issue with my XCW for years until it sat in the garage for about a month bc the clutch master is starting to leak alittle so i ordered everything for that and the Slave rebuild and the EE slave cylinder gaurd to go with it.
Went to go grab the bars and the front brake lever went straight to the bars..
Few weeks ago i was doing stoppies with one finger.
Everyone loves the brakes on my ktm who doesn't have one.
I just rebuilt the front brake master cylinder with a rebuild kit. Easy and straight forward job just alittle time consuming.
Have you considered that your front brake master is prob going bad, letting air in the system very slowly. And the reason it works with the zip tie is because your pushing the plunger inside the master cylinder in further and prob in a spot where its jst not leaking yet.
But somewhere, air is getting in the system.
Brakes are a closed system. If anything is wrong then there's an issue. It shouldn't change or get worse over time. That's a sign that you have a start of an issue. Look inside the boot for any sign of brake fluid. Also check the caliper for leaks as well..
Rebuilding the brakes on the Brembos just seems like something you have to do every few years if you don't use the bike all that much.
I would also suggest not letting your pads get too low before replacing so the caliper pistons arent out so far to get dirty..
Good luck!
👍🏻
if it goes to the handlebar its air inside.
Mistä tilasit?
4:09 oh man you missed
4:09 always happend :D
Its like I sprinkled Viagra in my reservoir.
Thanks for the tip
hey aleksi you can add : 1ste rijksbinnenhaven ijmuiden in nederland to your riding maps. its not an official track.but it certainly is a dirt track.you should take a look on google maps.
and about the brakes...just like ronnie mac sayd: no you dumb ass... brakes only slow you down! :P
its a good tip.but my brembo from the qvarna is a lot better then nissin from my honda!
