This is how it all actually went down. That other version is just elven propaganda and you know you should never trust an elf.
We knew you wouldn't trust an undead elf and a demon! Imagine how bad it would have gotten if you did.... heh
High elves are perfectly trustworthy, only when infected with the taint of the lower races (humanity/undeath) does their perfection slip
Yeah, Garithos didn't trust elves so this is realistically how things would've gone. The writers of Warcraft shouldn't have gotten lazy and had him not expect Sylvanas to betray him.

as much as I hated the dude in the blood elf campaign, I hate sylvanas even more. Blizzardly clearly had some bizarre fetish for overpowered undead/zerg women, both in sc and in wc.

anyone know what happened to the other garithos campaign? The one where garithos gathered the survivors of lordaeron and took command during the beginning of the undead invasion. It was showcased once on jaborino's channel, Garithos Rise of a Nation by Jorgonson.

Very enjoyable campaign, full of hilarious Garithos-themed humour, although back when I played it, some of the later maps (reworked Blizz ones) could definitely use some rebalancing, terrain rework and generally some more creativity. Still, it mostly didn't ruin the fun of classic RTS gameplay.
But I completely understand why (among other reasons) you picked it - Garithos speaks very little, reuses lots of Blizz dialogs and usually goes straight to the point (i.e. slaughtering inhumans), so it probably took you very little time to produce AI voice lines xD.

I swear, somebody working for WoW's creative team must have really hated Sylvanas, because right around the time of Cataclysm is when they turned her from a sympathetic neutral pragmatist into an unscrupulous villain. It's like they sabotaged Sylvanas by doing everything they could to turn players against her.

@@Nethrezar Well, she was kinda borked at the start of the WoW, as her biggest takeaway from WC3 was that Arthas has cursed her, and the first thing she does in WoW is raise new undead lol
@@MajkaSrajka To be fair, she didn't start dabbling in necromancy until Cataclysm, which was when her character started going downhill. Prior to this, the worst that she did was developing the new plague, but even then, you COULD justify that as a necessary evil to defend the Horde (the Forsaken in particular) against their enemies.
@@Nethrezarshe was developing the plague specifically to fight the scourge because the main goal was to make it effective on undead. If she wanted it to kill only the living then making it effective on undead sounds dumb
Damn i wouldn't have known this campaign had a place for mugthol and that bandit leader. Love it when fans keep track of this sort of thing.
You know, it feels like Garithos should have a mini-faction of only human and human alternatives for his personal army and other races as direct ally / purchasable mercenary camp like faction.
Like why should he trust the Dwarf Shooter? Sure, their loyalty might be unquestionable to the alliance, but if he has trust issues with them, why not put them under command of one of his trusted Lieutenant to handle. If human are not proficient with gunpowder production as much, a crossbow units being a base of his army (shorter range, different HP-Armour balance) with elite Arbalests as non-replenishable ones. Like in WC1 catapults instead of Mortal teams.
I think it would suit him more when playing directly as him. Especially since he would not want to reply on other races that might choose to withdraw to their own lands leaving them alone in the worst possible moment.
Don't worry, he's gonna give the inhuman beast an Arthas treatment

I'm playinga WC1 mod for WC3. It's pretty ugly, but there are human archers, clerics, conjurers, catapults as you say. Or human mages from WC2. Or maybe hand cannoneers like in AoE 2 and 4. With cruder firearms of human design. That's exactly what Lordaeron and Lord Gilithos or Garabod deserve.
Dwarves are human cousins, it's fine.
Garithos single handedly saved World of Warcraft by killing Sylvanas and preventing BFA, Shadowlands, Cairn's death, everything. He's the hero we need, but not the hero we deserve.
A timeline where Garithos is 25% smarter.

Each time Balnazzar says "You wouldn't dare!" My inner urge demand me to say: Hah, the man who crowns himself emperor speaks daring to me!
Garithos would hire dalaran and silver hand remnants and make scarlet crusade, with scarlet church. Inquisitor is fire mage who uses fire and light to burn infidels, using rain of fire, Slow, Purge.
Scarlet Justiciars are Vengeful paladin squires who use greatsword and smites Inhuman sorcerers and shamans, burning their mana, with lesser divine shield(damage reduction instead of invulnerablity) and magic resistance.
And Scarlet Clerics would use Heroism instead of Inner fire and mostly female like Greymane unlike old men of north shire..
Scarlet church would have "Deo gracias" as effect.
The way God intended.

I wish there's someone make a what if campaign where kaelthas didnt accept naga help and stay with garithos. There's used to be some guy plan to make it but then abandoned.😢

The beginning of the tale of the savior of mankind Emperor Garithos. This campaign is fun, especially the mission where you get to control Admiral Proudmore.

I like this custom campaign, but the dialog is clunky, the plot gets messy later and some of the levels were not meant for bases and harvesting.
The ridiculously over the top music when he bursts into the scene is just * chef's kiss *

This is how the story of Sylvanas ended; in fact, even Garithos defeated her and gave the bones of Sylvanas to the dogs and necrophiles too.

Garithos is by far the best character Blizzard ever did.
Last time I saw this it wasn't even voiced after they killed Balnazzar.
Garithos is twice THE MAaAaAN Arthas, the man who crowns himself as king, will ever hope to be.
It was always funny to me how Varimathras killed Garithos in the campaign. As far as in-game units go, Garithos could probably solo him and Sylvanas at the same time. The man has some mean abilities.

WAY BETTER than WoW expansions ( ESPECIALLY _Shadowlands_ ) and *_Reforged_*

Was it because he was ultimately betrayed by Sylvanas?
Was it because he was xenophobic towards non human races like elves and dwarves?
Was it because he was sort of an asshat to Kael?
I dunno ... what I know is that I will always like Garithos content, for sure.
Definitely for being a xenophobe and besides, Sylvanas knew from the beginning that he wouldn't spare her after defeating Balnazzar tho

maybe the ogres and bandits could start out neutral and if you don't kill them in time Sylvanas will possess them and attack your base
